Maybelline New York Color Tattoo Eye Chrome Eyeshadow, Bold Sapphire, 0.11 fl. oz.

I didn't know quite what I was in for with this. When two bronze tubes came I thought they were sent by mistake. But sure enough during an impulse makeup spree I had purchased this (along with purple, not yet arrived). And also accidentally upped the quantity. I am confident it was not previously used. It's trend with Amazon warehouse products to ship with broken seals or genaric packaging. But the wand and inner tube were clean, and it blended on my palm easily, no indication of air exposure. It does however have a very caked, dried, clumped appearance on the wand. This is due to two substances combined. The metallic flakes and the pigmant on the textured tip. I didn't use the product alone, but began with my usual regime. Clean face, moisturized, an all over pour reducing primer, and brightening eye prime. I applied this in generous amount, fast upward strokes to avoid blotches with an intense liquid. I used a tad as lower liner, and at the base of my upper lashes to cake my mascara along upper water line. I extended it to a bit of Cleopatra effect. Be prepared to use heavy mascara as this shadow will overpower your lashes. Also I used my face shimmering bronzer on my brow line and upper lid. Another eyeshadow alongside this would make for a mess. Pushing middle age, cracking is a huge concern with a product like this. I am increasingly trying to prevent statue like make-up appearance. Now here is the surprise. It did crack. Both quickly and increasingly! Back to the clumpy appearance of the two substances... They separate. But the pigmant remains bold so it is unnoticed from an inch or more away. The shimmer flake substance spreads making it look like two products. More natural than the intended affect but still very bold! I will use this occasionally for fun and play with it. Next time a liquid liner underneath and different priming method. I recommend giving it a try if you like to think outside of the box!

I have used this product (Emerald color) before and love it. But I ordered three, and only one of them had any usable eyeliner in it at all. Even that one was definitely not full--but I'm out, and needed it, so only asking for the unusably empty two to be replaced. (Seller, if you read this, send me three and not two, do the right thing!) I hope the replacements will be with tubes that have usable contents. The product itself is fabulous--stays on all day no matter what, great color. I use a separate, smaller brush to apply as eyeliner. It's my favorite long-lasting liner by far. As others have reported, these arrive without any seal on them--so with age, of course they dry out. If it is a currently manufactured product, seller, please renew your stock. I'd gladly pay full price for a full tube.

I have used this for years and it’s my favorite, stores don’t have them anymore but thankfully for Amazon they have it. Cost so worth it! Very pretty on doesn’t take much, I apply this with my finger to make sure it’s on smooth and not too much. I have gotten a lot of compliments on this eyeshadow and it stays on all day! I love and only use the golden rose color!

I have ordered 2 of these for about 3 years and have had no problem using them. But the last order came all dried out with both sticks. I waited a month and ordered one more thinking it was a fluke but this one is all dried up also. I’m so disappointed and would love my money back but can’t return it cause I opened it. I’m done with this product and am looking for something else. What did you do to the formula cause it is terrible now!

I bought the Khaki chrome and really like the color. It can be blended out while still moist and becomes more sheer, but still a lovely color. I ordered a new color called Fool's gold. It looked much lighter in the picture. When it arrived it was very dark with gold shimmery highlights. I guess that it is supposed to look more like the dark pyrite with golden glints. I will try it, but I thought it would be a golden shade rather than dark shadow.

Color Tattoo is a long lasting color! It doesn't come off until you want it to! However, it is a powder, very dry, that pulls a tugs on the delicate skin of the lid during application. I will not purchase again.

I've been using this product as base for a more glittery liquid eyeshadow for about a week now, and I'm pretty neutral on it. Gilded Rose is a nice color to use for fair skin to brighten the eyes, but there is substantial fallout on my cheeks once this dries. It's also not particularly pigmented - if I were using this as my primary color, it would take two or three coats to be evident that I'm wearing makeup and I would definitely need an eyeshadow primer. It also itches toward the end of the day, and is usually the reason I end up taking my makeup off when I do. It's an affordable alternative to my usual liquid eyeshadow, but keep in mind that you get what you pay for.

It’s a lot darker than gold. Almost a charcoal gold, good for blending. Not for fair skin, nor for olive to dark.

I absolutely love this product. The colour is like a darker, burnished gold, and while it goes on wet, it dries very quickly and doesn’t smudge at all. Easy to remove, but stays exactly as applied for ages!! Very unique colour!

Padrísimo el color, obvio para la noche. Y efectivamente es Tattoo, no se borra!
