Round 2 Polar Lights Star Trek 1:350 Scale TOS U.S.S. Enterprise Prebuilt Display Movie Set Prop (PO978)

Really like this Star Trek Enterprise model star ship. It is very detailed and painted professionally. It doesn't have lighting installed. The windows are detailed to show them either illuminated or dark. It is a large model and when assembled is about three feet long. It comes with a base and metal support rod. It makes you want to create a backdrop of it orbiting a planet as a display.

I wasn't delusional here. Unlike others who've been whining about the price, my expectations were grounded. Master Replicas released a TOS Enterprise at a similar scale many years ago for around $1500. It had many more features but the price took care of that. For anyone expecting a Master Replicas model for under $500... Wish in one hand do something else in the other.

Like many people, I've always wanted a finished model of the original USS Enterprise this size. Well, Round 2 and Polar Lights have delivered! I'd seeing many positive reviews and some negative reviews where people were disappointed in the fit and finish, I thought I'd take a chance and I'm glad I did. This model is even better than I'd hoped!!! Propotions, colors, decals are all spot on. Well done, Round 2 and Polar Lights.

Very nicely done! These models are pre-built and pre-painted by hand but mass-produced. Excellent build quality and very accurate. The details and weathering are patterned after the Smithsonian Institute's recent rework of the 11' original filming model. Building your own to this level of quality would require hundreds of hours.

I expected something like this Enterprise Model to be sold by The Wand Company, but Round 2 beat them to it. Wish I learned of the model when they were selling it for $475.00. Hopefully the next Preassembled Enterprise Model by Polar Lights will come with lights.

I bought this, unfortunately, and upon unboxing immediately noticed a deep scratch on the upper saucer along with some scuffs across the surface. There was also what looked like glue residue sealed in the paint. Along the seam of the front of the saucer was a long black horizontal scratch about 4 inches long with wrinkles from the decal wraps just below it. There was an indentation and paint chip on the surface of the lower saucer. One of the warp nacelles had paint rubs and was not even glued to the pylon and just sits wobbly on top while the other nacelle is firmly secured to the pylon. Also there are visible moulding seams everywhere and the entire model is wallpapered with decals and you can visibly see the decal seams. The weathering is also way overdone with too much contrast and should be much more subtle. I spent $475 for a sloppily and poorly built model. This is just unacceptable. I’m returning it ASAP. Just buy the kit and build it yourself for much less. Even someone with novice model skills could do better. You’ll be much happier.EDIT: I even contacted Round2 customer service to see if I could get replacement parts for this and e-mailed them pictures and got absolutely no response from them whatsoever. The model was returned and the vendor issued me a full refund.
