I don't think these are legit eco bricks.
Every brick is a different weight so measuring for a consistent substrate soak isn't going to happen. It's funny in a way, because I don't believe these are the actual eco brand bricks. Someone actually repackaged smaller bricks. Each brick is supposed to weigh 650g. Not with these. It can be anyplace from 300-500, but never 600+? So basically just go to a pet store to get your coir. You'll get solid, measured weight for your money.

Using in all of my animal terrariums
I am using Eco Earth in all of my terrariums.Reptile ownership has not been perfect for me. I feel that even though you can have the best conversations with owners and breeders who will give you lots of good advice, sometimes you just have to trial-and-error it on your own.Eco Earth has been the best choice of substrate for almost all of my animals. My blue tongue skink is on eco Earth and sphagnum Moss. I know some people recommend cypress mulch, but I find that when I put the Cypress in there it often got moldy. I am currently trying to convert everything over to a false bottom using hydroton with a layer of weed barrier and then Eco Earth over the top. In my experience, this keeps the humidity at a considerably better level for nearly all of the high humidity needing animals in my care. The downside to Eco Earth is that I feel like it can be quite messy. I find that some of my snakes that enjoy burrowing do not seem to do as well with it... It doesn't seem to hold tunnels quite as well as Aspen. That being said, I do notice that their sheds are a lot better with the Eco Earth than without.I think that for some of my species of snakes I'm going to use Eco Earth in the humid hides instead of sphagnum moss.Someone once told me that they did not recommend the use of eco earth because of bugs. I have not seen any kind of critter or bug come out of the bricks. Also, buying these bricks in the huge pack has been the best price I've been able to find online or off.

Great for Humidity
Love this stuff. It helps to hold humidity in my young ball python's terrarium. No mold issues as long as it's not kept too wet, just moist. The bundle I got was 9 bricks (3x 3 packs) for just under $24. Excellent value. 1 hydrated brick is more than enough to provide 3 inches of substrate for a 10 gallon terrarium. That can give you some idea of how to scale it for larger enclosures. The only reason I knocked off one star is because while I've never noticed this issue with this brand before, this particular bundles bricks don't seem to be equally divided. It's all there, but the 3 packs have slightly different sized bricks separated out. Nothing major to worry about.

Perfect for mycology needs
The triple value pack. Unfortunateoy the single triple pack wouldnt get here for several days and i was in need of substrate ASAP. if you used eco earth before you know its good. Theres no added trichodermia like some coco coir.

Good product
So far I have ordered this same 6 pack of compressed bedding at least 5 times. I have a Russian tortoise and hermit crabs. I have been very satisfied with the product and especially the price. The only negative thing I can say about it is sometimes a few shreds of plastic are mixed inside the bricks. It looks like bundling material that got caught in the bedding during manufacturing. It's not that big of a deal to pull out a few pieces every time but I haven't had that problem with other brands.

Works great
I use this in my ball python tank. You don’t need to do too much to it. Just break off a chunk, soak it in water, ring it out, then put it in the tank. If it gets dry later, just rehydrate it and put it back in the tank. It lasts a long time. I only throw it away if he makes it dirty, but that rarely happens cuz I put the moss in his sleeping area and he doesn’t like to crap there

Amazing product
We live in a very dry state and have always struggled with keeping the humidity up in our snakes tank. We switched to this stuff and no longer have that issues . Our snake now spends more time out and enjoying his full tank then ever before perfect product amazing price and quality. We use of the 2bricks to fill a 40 gallon tank so the price and quantity is unmatched . This package will last us months

Our Rainbow Boa loves it.
This is a great deal for the amount you get. We are still using our first brick without any problems. We haven't seen any mold yet but did see a green stem growing out of one of our corners of the enclosure. Our rainbow boa loves this stuff and it stays nice and moist. The side of the tank that is providing heat gets dusty and dry every now and then but nothing a little spritz of water can't fix. I definitely recommend this for reptiles in need of a humid environment! My only con is that this stuff is super messy! Anytime we take our snake out of her enclosure, we get this stuff on the carpet, our clothes, etc.
