Got this so we could use our beach umbrella at the pool. Just be sure you have a big enough item to secure it to. The shortest Velcro strap it comes with is almost too large for a run-of-the mill sun lounger. (We attached it to the back of the chair. The only issue there is you cannot raise or lower the chair back with the umbrella attached.) We also tried to attach it to a small wrought iron table that sits between the loungers. There was no way to attach it because the legs were very thin and small diameter.

I bought this so that we could put an umbrella up near our neighborhood pool which doesn't have umbrellas or any shade. The description says you can attach this a chair or fence. After several tries we finally got it to work - not on the chairs but to the fence. It seemed that one strap seemed short & the other too long. It may be that we're not doing something correctly. I'm going to try it again next time we go to the beach. Hopefully, we'll get better at using this.

We ordered two of these bc one wasn’t enough to hold it in place with complete security for in and on the first pool step, but once the second strap arrived, it was solid as a rock and doesn’t budge with the flow of the water like with only one strap did. We love it and recommend the system. I will say that they need to make their materials rust resistant bc after only 2 months of use, we are seeing rust. Galvanized pieces would be a cure. But all in all, it works.

This is an awesome idea and really works well. Strapped it to our cooler on the beach and our deck back at the townhouse. Only downside, the large strap broke in the wind on day 3... clean tear at the velcro. Was able to use additional strap the rest of the vacation.

It is good for extra support, but you have to still have your umbrella secured at the ground. Our umbrella still fell over although I did not see what happened. It was extra windy that day though.

I thought I could put together such an easy gadget without reading the instructions but It fell apart while doing so. Spent way too much time as well as with my two friends trying to figure out. The screw mechanism attached once apart with the spring is a terrible concept. The instructions need to be a larger photo format with a better diagram. I returned it since after it fell apart it was useless. I normally never have problems following instructions and have patience to do so but this gadget is not what I expected.
