serves the purpose
doesn't give much lather but if you roll on more & more then you get a good amount of lather.

Best foam shave ever! Beats the best brands in the market
Must buy - I have used those tube based gels and pastes earlier but after using this i am so satisfied with my purchase. The product is very good, lasts long and make it an ideal shave

A Shaving Soap worth the buy
For a shaving soap at the price for what I paid, I would say it is good - at least when compared to run-of-the-mill likes of shaving creams, soaps, gels, foams, etc. What perhaps it does not have is probably the kind of scent and freshness that one normally might experience with imported, and consequently, more expensive products of similar type.Nevertheless, I would buy this product again, and for its subtle hint of fragrance that it leaves behind on towel after wiping one's face with. The soap, thus far, has shown signs of lasting about close to a month with daily shaving with faux boar bristles brush of a different company, and using tap water which is mostly very hard.

Decent Shaving soap, value for money - lather dries up quickly
I have been using shaving gels and foams for past 25 years and decided to go the old school way using a shaving soap and brush. The scent is OK and mild - as I was trying for the first time didn't have much expectation. It takes a while to generate lather compared to few others I have tried. You need a good beaver hair or synthentic beaver hair brush to generate lather (avoid cheap nylon ones as they wont lather up). Use a bowl, lathering directly on the face didnt work . The soap is medium hard and does not come off as a paste which is good as it helps you draw just the right amount for a shave. On application I found that it dries off quickly, tried adding water and it became runny. I am used to a moderately thin coat of lather and ended up applying again after having shaved 1 side. Leaves a soft feel after shaving.I reserve 1 STAR for the ease of generating lather, otherwise a good product and I see it will last a while.
