When I first received it , I was concerned because normally these come kinda pretty charged so you can test it but this had no power , but I left in sun let it power up and its beautiful <3 so dont be alarmed if it doesnt work right away like I did lol

18650 Lithium ion Batteries Inside!
I would give these lanterns five stars if the flickering LEDs were more realistic. They flicker in a way that looks too regular, not random like a real flame, and there is no way that I could find to change that. The best part about these are that they include removeable and rechargeable 18650 Lithium ion batteries. I have a bunch of flashlights that use these batteries so I have extras, meaning that I never have to even use the solar cells on the lanterns. When they get a little low on charge, just replace the batteries with fresh ones.

Cheap Paper Thin Plastic!! Buyer Beware!
These things are cheap, thin, plastic crap! Did I know they were plastic..? Yes but did I know they were paper thin...? No! These are displayed hanging outside as if they are for outdoor use yet they did not even survive the trip here! Both lanterns were broke at the bottom with chips and chunks broke off the base of the lanterns. No signs of damage to the box or the bigger box the rest of my things came in. Very well packed but it didn't help these fragile little guys. Amazon offered a refund after I return them. So yeah, you'll get your money back after you place your order, wait for them to arrive, finally find time to get to them to hang them up only to find now you gotta jump through hoops to get back to where you were when looking for solar lanterns... Go with a different item and you're welcome for saving you time, money & a headache!
