Q: Can this be used on an adjustable mattress?

Yes it can be by just tucking it under the top mattress. It adds a little more support to the railing if somehow attached to the support frame under the mattress. My Dads bed had a wood support frame under the top mattress that we could easily use screws to attach the rail into place.

Q: Can this be used on adjustable beds?

Yes it can. I have a power adjustable bed and it works perfectly. I screwed it down to the power base and the mattress sits on top. Just make sure to mount it above where the base folds.

Q: Can this be folded or lower down when not needed?

Dear customer, yes, this medical bed rail assist can be folded and stored, and have 4 adjustable height from 19 to 22 inches.
