Great piece of kit
Years ago, I'd been given a knife that belonged to my grandfather. The knife is an old Imperial, likely worth very little but important to me. It was loaded with rust, grime, patina and everything else you might be able to think of. After I removed rust and gave it a proper polish, the final step was getting an edge on an uneven, slightly damaged and dull blade. This tri stone allowed me to get the knife's edge nice and sharp as it should be. I'd bet my grandfather is smiling down on me.The three stones, oil, angle and the provided instructions truly give you all that's needed to sharpen your pocket knives. I'm new to using whetstones and this could not have been any easier to use. The only thing the kit doesn't come with is patience. Some blades require more work than others to get that sharp edge. Made in the USA. Wonderful investment for keeping your blades sharp.

Amazingly Perfect!!
This is amazing! I went to culinary school and was lectured on keeping my knives in good shape. Hand wash only and always sharp. “A dull knife will cut you worse than a sharp one” and it is so so true. So after I got a bad cut I bought this beauty. I love that it’s from Arkansas!! The wood holder and three way stone is perfect for a home kitchen. Sharpens perfectly!

There is a learning curve
I’m new to sharpening my chisels. It took some practice. Will take some more to perfect this craft, but these stones do make it easy. They are forgiving and the are definitely sharper. I even sharpened up some cheap chisels that are many years old. I’ll get there, but have no doubts these stones will be the vehicle that takes me there. Highly recommend!

Stones are good, holder is junk and ruins the finish
I've had this for a many years, purchased from another vendor. It sits in a drawer unused. The stones are of high quality, but cut really slowly on my plane irons. Not exotic or extra hard steel. The finish they give (if you can manage to keep them clean) is very good. This adds a star.BUT....The wooden holder is terrible. and results in cross-contamination of swarf and grit from one side to another switch between stones. It's very difficult to clean the arkansas stones such that they actually provide the finish they should. The stones are not easily removable from this triangular wooden core. If I ever decide to try again, I'll probably find a way to remove them from the block and put them in a better holder.

I sharpened the sharpest knife I’ve ever used
You can make your knife as sharp as a razor with almost no skill like me in about 15 minutes. It is absolutely worth every penny.Granted, there are other solutions out there that will work well (not as well) for likely cheaper, once you cut something with a knife sharpened on one of these, you’ll understand why it’s worth it.
