Tried several different things before I thought of/found this. Used 1/2" strips to add traction to a wood dowel. Works perfectly!

Used this tubing to replace the dried-up cushioning tubing on my guitar stand. Worked like a champ!!

It isn’t extremely elastic but is great for medical purposes

The tubing has small defects in it that make it useless for my application. There are little bumps and bubbles in two sections of the of the 5 m long tube. I have had to cut them out, but since they were towards the middle of my piece and I needed a long length, I will need to buy a new piece. This time from another vendor.
