I have not yet performed in this dress, but I have tried it on and danced in it. I am a size 4 in pants, height 5'5.5" with a very small chest/upper body but larger in butt and hips (26.2" waist, 36" hips). I have a very square waist, definitely not hour glass. I wanted a dress that hugged my body higher up but flowed just above waist and down and this dress does just that for me! The top section is actually too big for me, even in a small, but since the rest fit so perfectly, I remedied this by adjusting the straps tighter, and I added a royal blue cotton leotard I just happened to have on hand underneath this costume, and it works beautifully! The material in the upper part is a little thin but still well made, strong. There is NOT a bra lining, so my advice would be to wear something underneath. I love the length of this dress as it shows the line of my leg/foot but is still flowy and lyrical. I have not found the skirt part to be see through as there are two layers to this dress, at least in this royal blue color.This is a versatile costume, and can be worn for ballet, modern dance, ballroom, maybe even for an evening out somewhere. I am very pleased with my purchase, and this is everything I hoped it would be, simple but elegant!

This was purchased as a dance dress. Fit according to size. Skirt is matte and had a nice flow, decent quality material, almost like a stretch mesh or georgette. The top is VERY thin. I needed to add a liner because it was so thin. Due to lightweight quality of the lycra top, it doesn't hold it's form super well. I ended up reinforcing with top stitching when I added in the liner. Also, if purchasing as a dance costume, be aware it is a one piece dress and you will need spanx or something underneath.

My daughter needed this for her dance competition team lyrical dance. The fit was perfect and if flowed beautifully on stage.

These dresses broke and tore within 1 hr of wearing them. Very thin, cheap material. No leotard or shorts underneath… not worth the purchase.

I loved the idea of the dress but I don’t think it flattered my body type. The color is beautiful and it is comfortable but you just want to make sure you have some bike shorts under just in case. If it’s a windy day, it can fly up

We ordered wine red but red was sent. Performance is Sunday so doubt a replacement will make it.EDIT: right color was sent in time for the performance. Beautiful look on stage. Material in the bust is stretchy so there is some give. Straps are adjustable. Skirt material is see thru but because of multiple layers it doesn't appear that way on stage. My daughter wore bike shorts underneath and it was perfect. We ordered the wine red which was beautiful on stage.

Bought this for my daughter first solo and it flowed perfectly for her lyrical. Durable enough to use multiple times. She said it was comfortable too.
