Brainerd 126446 Wood Architectural Single Toggle Switch Wall Plate / Switch Plate / Cover, Light Almond

I love these and have been replacing all the switch plates and outlet covers in our house with them over the last few years. These are reinforced with steel on the back, so they are strong and you can't tighten the screws so much that you crack the plate, which happens with the plastic ones sometimes. They stay put, don't loosen, and don't shift around. They are a little bigger than the standard plastic ones and can cover a little more of the opening, if your drywall isn't well done. I ordered a bunch at Baltimore Hardware Co. for half the Amazon price, even after adding the cost of shipping.

Almond color fit perfectly with our switches that are almond. The screws included are longer than the screws used in our current switches. There was one switch that is a dimmer and for some reason the screws that came with this plate would not screw all the way into the holes. There must be some kind of very small size difference. Luckily I kept the screws from the old plate and was able to use them with the new faceplate and it worked great. These are backed with a metal plate. The wood is covered in a thick coating of the almond or white color, so they are not necessarily plastic, but they are coated wood or maybe MDF.

Just received these switch wall plates and placed them on freshly painted surfaces and what a difference they made!I seldom write reviews of any kind, but felt that I should because of the quality and look. We had the typical plastic types that I was ready to replace, but opted to buy these instead because their color and style. What a difference such a small item can make in a room and at such an affordable price!Thank you Amazon and Flying Bulldogs!

I really love these Brainerd outlet and switch covers, but for some reason they really hold onto fingerprints and smudges and are difficult to clean.

The Brainerd brand version of “White” is an off white/cream color, which is exactly what I was looking for to go with my linen white trim color. These are not Pure White/ bright white. If you’re looking for a snow/bright white color, Brainerd offers them in “Pure White”.

You can't get higher quality than Brainerd. Very well made. Other competitors just can't top the design & quality they offer. Cost a bit more but oh so worth it.....you definitely get what you pay for with Brainerd. ONLY ISSUE IS THESE ARE NOT CREAM, AS THEY STATE. THEY ARE WHITE. I spray painted each one with a satin cream color to match my kitchen cabinets, & they look great!

These were a gift as a house warmer to my daughter who painted her foyer swan gray and trim white. It add the extra "umf," which is a very good thing. I purchased also the double light switch and double plug for the foyer as well. It is the little things that count!

This line of switch and outlet covers is beautiful and will work in any design aesthetic. The light almond color is perfect, especially if you have those older style and color outlets, it will work with either white or almond.

Nice product ...we're now replaced all of our outlet and switch plates.
