Reliable Old Skool Xbox Controller S-Type: Nostalgic and Functional
I purchased the Old Skool Xbox Controller S-Type Wired Game Pad in black on July 12, 2017, for use with my original Xbox. This controller has been a dependable and enjoyable addition to my gaming setup. Its compatibility is specifically for the original Xbox, which is important to note for those who might be considering it for newer consoles. It does not work with Xbox 360 or Xbox One. The dual analog joysticks are responsive and offer precise control, essential for various gaming genres. The full analog pressure-sensitive action buttons and D-Pad enhance the gaming experience, providing the necessary feedback and accuracy for complex games. Vibration feedback is a feature I particularly appreciate, as it adds an extra layer of immersion to my gaming sessions. It’s a nice touch that brings me back to the classic gaming days. The 6-foot cable length is ample, providing enough room to play comfortably without being too close to the screen. Overall, this Old Skool Xbox Controller is a solid choice for anyone looking to replace or add a controller for their original Xbox. It combines nostalgia with functionality seamlessly.

Good buy
Great controllers. I got my kids into old school Xbox, they respond very well. Colors are nice, they feel solid and sturdy especially for young kids playing. I had no connection issues at all.

Great reliable controller. Great price
This is controller similar to the original Xbox controller. It is roughly the same size as the original controller. It has the same buttons, works great and has the same cord length of the original. The blue color on it looks so great.

Joystick acceleration
As I said in the video the controller itself is not bad. All the buttons the triggers so on so forth are perfectly fine. The only issue with button-wise is the d-pad. The d-pad works as intended and you don't have to push them hard however the d-pad is a little stiff and you will feel that once you get it in your hands. The biggest issue with the controller is the joystick acceleration. The joysticks feels like I'm playing on a computer with wasd controls. It's hard to move diagonally it's hard to look diagonally and barely moving the right joystick to the left right up or down makes you move your camera super fast when you should be going slow instead. I primarily recommend this controller for second third and fourth player use but for primary player who uses the Xbox all the time I highly suggest getting an original Microsoft used or refurbished controller because at least with those the joysticks have proper joystick acceleration and you can actually aim and move well

Great Controller
So far this is the best S-type Xbox controller I have found. The triggers are responsive and have the same spring tension as the original (which makes a difference!). Buttons are good, as well as vibration.

Seems great!
Functions just like the other generic unit it's replacing. Solid case, sturdy wire, good buttons, now my alt fire trigger won't use up my gremades - ON ME!!

Works OK but analog joysticks are unplayable on some games.
The controller works ok. The build quality is pretty cheap, but it's 12 bucks delivered to my house so it was as expected. One has to be gentle and I would say the controller would not take much abuse. So far, no issues for me. However, during game play the analog joystick hardware seems "un-calibrated" for my original xbox. Some other reviews here said the controller was "laggy". I did not have that issue, rather the opposite. It is normal responsive for 80% of the analog joystick travel and then it gets super jumpy for the extreme regions of the joystick travel. Games requiring precision control are pretty unusable to me (personal opinion). For example, GTA VC is mostly fine, but when your character invokes a weapon scope, the "jerkiness" of the analog joystick makes it nearly impossible to play that portion of the game. All in all I would say for some games this will be fine and for others unusable. For me, I'll keep it around, but will definitely will pick up a used controller built by Microsoft to which the xbox firmware is calibrated for. I used to use third party controllers for my xbox, and those played fine, but not so much this particular one.
