Not enough detail
This book does not tell you how to process your own MP3 audiobooks. I was angry that I had wasted my money. Considering this is the 7th Edition (Copyright 2010) I feel this subject should be covered. The book omits most audiobook stuff EXCEPT where to buy and download them from -- Yes, you've got it, the iTUNES STORE of course! After a search on-line I have now learned all I need to know for free.

Does the job
I always thought I was tech savvy, but after getting a Touch and trying to set it up with my old cds, I found myself struggling. This book helped me get my head wrapped around the concepts of iTunes and the iPod. I'm still having problems ripping cds, especially compilations or collections and it hasn't answered that issue. I still have multiple albums in my library that hold the songs of an individual artist on a compilation album and I can't seem to get them back together under one album. Its a minor frustration so far. As a general primer for someone trying to learn the iTunes and iPod universe it does a fine job.

An understandable intro to the ipod world
If, like me, you have no idea how to get to grips with your newly aquired ipod, this book is just the thing. It explains the concept of the ipod, how it interacts with itunes (what itunes is about) and explains the steps to take to get your devices talking to each other. It doesn't assume that you're an iworld savvy geek but that you need to be led by the hand into this new environment. It worked for me.

Very helpful
Apples help function reminds me of when personal computers came out in the 80's and you had to be a computer engineer to understand the user manual. These books are written for more than dummies and are very helpful.
