Great gift for beginning leatherworkers
Bought this as a gift for my mother. She used to have many of the tools for doing this sort of thing, but has lost them over the years. She was delightfully surprised when she opened it and was eager to get back into a lost hobby.

Just like what I remember
We had one of these kits when I was young. It’s a great starter for someone new to working with leather. Love that it comes with a sample scrap of leather to experiment with along with a few projects (cell phone holder, key chain, bracelet, etc., as listed in item description) that can be fully made and gifted. I do recommend purchasing some kind of mat or backing to go along with it, because some of the tools require pounding into the leather that would not be good for an unprotected surface. We also got some stain separately to color some of the items. Other than that, it’s a pretty complete starter set. Now we are looking for how to get more leather for additional crafts…

Good, but doesn't have stain like the picture
The pictures advertised shows that it includes stain, but the product itself that came in only has a bottle of leather sheen :/ My creations look unfinished because of the flat appearance of a single color, and nothing like the example projects shown in the instruction book because it doesn't have stain. Wish I would've known this before purchasing so I could've considered other options.Otherwise, the tools that were included are high quality, and I had fun.

Decent kit.
This is a good kit for starting leather work. The main issue that came up is that the wooden mallet that comes with the kit is very soft wood and when using the stamps included the stamps make dents in the mallet and make stamping difficult . Would be more stars if the mallet was better designed.

Damaged
Kit comes with a small bottle of leather sheen. The contents of the leaked and damaged the instructions and several items in the box.
