perfect solution for a threshold bump
My husband frequently uses a walker and is at high risk for falls. We had a small threshold into our family room (the room we use the most) that we never noticed until he began to have balance problems. It is less than an inch, but it became a great obstacle for him, over time. A physical therapist suggested getting some sort of ramp to smooth the area and I began a search ... Amazon came through, as usual. I needed 2 ramps to span the 72" threshold area. They are made of a sturdy rubber-like material so I was able to cut them to the proper length with heavy shears. They stay put but should be glued into place to prevent accidental movement under wheelchair or walker wheels. They are unobtrusive on our dark slate floors, since they are black. The 3.5" depth is enough to smooth out the "bump" without getting in the way.

Small and effective
I wish I had had this ramp when I first came home from rehab and I was stuck in the wheelchair most of the time. I live in an old house and the difference between the living room and the kitchen is five inches.In the past a dear friend in a wheelchair had to forgo a meeting at my house because of the difficulty with this. The ramp has solved this.Only thing is now that I mostly use the walker I almost trip when the rap slides out since it is not glued down or anything.

Best inside ramp ever
Its light enough to take with when vacationing, and it works great at the threshold between room with different type of flooring. Would buy again.

Wonderful ramp!
