Q: will this work on regular auto15" steel wheels?

Yes,I ve used it on 14 and 15 inch steel wheels, Toyota and dodge, as well as others . Works great . When I install a tire , the bead will occasionally not want to stay inside the rim . as I turn the installation bar , putting the bead under the rim, the opposing hemisphere of the bead sometimes wants to come out of the rim, and I chase the bead around the rim, putting one part of the bead into place as the other half comes out. This tool prevents the bead from coming out,holding it inside the rim so I can work on putting the remainder of the tire bead into place. This problem usually occurs when I lube the tire bead. The tool is simple to use and saves a lot of aggravation. I have an older manual tire machine. This little yellow gizmo is well worth having, if I lost it, I would order another tomorrow. The rubber coating helps prevent scratches.

Q: Can I use it to change a tire sensor

Strangely enough, I’ve seen that done with one of these. I don’t recommend it. These are to hold commercial sized tires (17.5 - 24.5) from moving while mounting. But I have seen someone put these on light truck rims and use them as a lever to hold the tire in the drop center to change out a tire sensor without fully dismounting the tire. Not a suggested practice!!

Q: Where is it manufactured?

I don’t know. That’s s more of a question for the seller. I can say that it works great. I use it for commercial vehicles such as tractor trailer tires. It’s like having an extra pair of hands.

Q: Is this helpful on 17-19 inch motorcycle wheels?

I’ve seen motorcycle shops use vise-grips and needlenose vise-grips, that have had the jaws dipped in rubber handle coating, to clamp on the wheel to help with mounting. Hope that helps.
