This Thing Actually Does What It Says It'll Do (A Concept Foreign to Most Products)
You know what I love? When you buy something and it actually WORKS. Revolutionary concept in modern America, right? So I get this antenna - and by the way, isn't it beautiful that we live in a time where you need an EIGHT DECIBEL antenna just to talk to your neighbor? We went from two tin cans and a string to this, folks. Progress! - and I'm thinking, "Yeah, sure, another piece of overpriced metal that's gonna sit in a box and mock me." But no. I put this bad boy up, and BOOM - it's cutting through the RF garbage like a hot knife through the electromagnetic spectrum. My Meshtastic repeater went from "maybe I can reach the end of my driveway" to "Hey, I can hit the next county!" Sixteen feet of cable. SIXTEEN FEET. Do you know what that means? It means you can mount this thing somewhere that actually makes SENSE, not just wherever the cable runs out and you give up and say, "Well, I guess it's going HERE now." The thing works at 915 megahertz - which is frankly insane when you think about it. That's 915 MILLION cycles per second. Meanwhile, I can barely get through one cycle of doing my laundry without forgetting about it. Bottom line: Buy it. It works. And in a world full of stuff that DOESN'T work, that's worth celebrating.

VERY GOOD antenna, but it is 10.5dBi not 15dBi @ 915MHz
I got this antenna and ran it through my VNA and was impressed at the numbers I got. Very low SWR in the 915MHz frequency (and especially 906.875MHz where you would want to use it for Meshtastic) which was my intended purpose for this antenna, but after checking the data sheet that is located on the SignalPlus web site, it reads 10.5dBi not 15dBi. I contacted both the Amazon seller as well as tech support at SignalPlus and they confirmed that this seller IS in fact their distributor on Amazon but with regards to the 10.5dBi vs 15dBi numbers "The antenna can be 15dbi, BUT only under very ideal circumstances and only at high frequency point." So that the frequencies most people would use it for (in the 900-920MHz range), plan on 10.5dBi of gain. If you want to use it above 1GHz, you might get 15dBi out of it. Having said that, this is a great antenna and I do recommend it. It has very good gain for Meshtastic ... at the full +22dBm power output of most transmit units, and a reasonable amount of low loss coax, you will be at or slightly above legal limits for transmit power for ISM devices. The build quality is excellent and comes well packed and arrived fast. The 32 feet of RG58 is of good build quality, but the included RG58 cable is the wrong cable for the 915MHz frequency. Even with a perfect 1:1 SWR, the coax will lose 5.087dB (69% of your power at .25w). By comparison, LMR-400 of the same length, only has a loss of 1.285dB or 26%. Again, this is a quality antenna, but you should count on lower antenna gain numbers and if you are operating at 900+ MHz, sell the included cable at a hamfest.

Excellent for Meshtastic
I tried pre built, and tried building, a dozen plus antennas for 906.875mhz. This is the one I finally decided on. Good build quality. The coax it came with is trash and as tight as the bends were, it's probably ruined. I understand it has to put it in a box for shipping but looked like the packer had no idea what coax was. I wasn't planning on using it anyway but don't have any complaints about the antenna. Photo is with antenna mounted on a grounded mast after 10 feet of lmr-400. I highly recommend this antenna for meshtastic in the USA. -UPDATE I apologize for photo quality. 1.093 swr @ 906.9. It's been up there 2 months through a couple decent storms. Performance unchanged and now I can speak to the build quality. I'd give it 5.5 stars if I could.

Cable is useless but antenna is great
I got this for one of my areas main stay meshtastic relays, and it's giving clear signal to people 30 miles and more. So far the most effective node i have made, because even at those ranges the signal clarity is so good the acknowledgement on messages is very quick The cable is comes with is pure garbage and should not be used, and honestly would be better if they didn't include it. But since the antenna is what matters here, it's worth getting if you need a high dbi antenna

Bad
This antenna is no good around 915 at all. 870 is amazing and 940 is good. But NOT 915, this is false advertising. Checked on my VNA and an SWR reading of 1.3 1.4 is terrible.

Wasn't impressed by performance.
Review is for the 5.8dBi antenna. Physical build quality is excellent. Antenna is advertised as wide band 824-960Mhz, and can def see this reflected in my VNA. My plan was to use this antenna for a Meshtastic node in the US (915Mhz). VNA showed a SWR of 1.5 and impedance of 34 Ohms at 914Mhz. Acceptable, but nothing to write home to mom about. VNA shows the antenna resonates at 809/899/991. VNA had a fresh calibration to make sure I was getting accurate measurement, and antenna was multiple wavelengths away from any objects. I performed some range tests and found that I actually got worse range from this antenna than I did from my well tuned DIY Super-J antenna that has a theoretical gain of 4dBi. Ironically I got better numbers in the VNA if I test with the included RG58 cable, but my use case requires me to connect the antenna directly to my node. Unfortunately, had to send back for a refund.

Do your research on dBi before buying
Disregard the negative reviews. They're written by Helium n00bs. 8dBi is not a round sphere of a signal, it's more of a flat far reaching signal. High dBi is good when you have the antenna up high so the signal doesn't get blocked. Low dBi antenna are good for ground level, low antenna placements. Low dBi make a spare shape for the signal therefore doesn't get blocked as easily, but doesn't reach nearly as far. Also the cable provided in this set is WAYYYYY better than the regular coax most sellers are pushing. Do cable research in regards to Helium Mining and you'll see. I have had this set for over 6 months now. I live on a 3rd floor. The increase in HNT due to increase in WITNESSES has been essential in getting my Return On Investment.

I got this antenna to upgrade my current 4.5dbi antenna and after using this 8dbi antenna for 2 weeks straight, it did more worse than my 4.5 dbi antenna did. I changed back to the 4.5dbi antenna and getting better results. I don't even think this is s real 8dbi antenna.

It’s a shocking decent antenna. The SWR of my example was 1.24. it’s decent build quality.

Llevo usandola un día y ha mejorado considerablemente mis ganancias en helium, ocupo un hostpot syncrobit y de momento todo excelente, la recomienda completamente.
