This shade has been the best one we have purchased. Usually they fade and then just rot in the rain and sun. This square shade has lasted over a year in near continuous rain and serious sun of Hawaii. No leaks, no sags. I worried after those reviews about sagging but we have had no trouble at all. you just have to have it angled, not level. at least one corner needs to be quite a bit lower than the others to keep it from holding water and stretching. I love that it does not leak or drip. When it finally does die, I will definitely buy another one just like it!

These are outstanding value for the money. They look fantastic too when they're new.I've bought a few of these sun shades now, I will continue to replace them as needed.There are 2 major complaints that keeps the last star away:1. The fabric material is too stretchy allowing water to easily pool, sag, and damage the tarp.This can happens even when edges are taught, and decent slope is added.Serious slope, and ultra-tight mounting are vital to keep pooling water from these.2. THEY FADE and are SUN BRITTLE.One year, in the California sun is all these can take before they are faded and ugly, and the fabric material starts getting easily tearable, and any rips can turn catastrophic.

I have this water proof sun shade hanging off the side of my house with about a 50 degree pitch and 1 low corner. I have 2 BBQ grills underneath them as I like to cook even when its raining. The shade sits about 3 feet over the grill and it doesn't get hot. Ive had the shade for almost 6 months and it has not leaked nor collected water. The material is much like tent material, it does not stretch. The colour has faded from a red brown to a beige brown, a noticeable difference. The underside however still looks like the original colour. It came nicely folded and with 4 separate nylon strings. I however used old bungy cords. I would definately purchase again.

I had a 9.5 x 9.5 tarp over my hot tub but I had enough space for a 12 x 12 so decided to order this one. Unfortunately, this one holds water and there is no reasonable way to fix it. The olde one went straight across my center beam and was flat all the way across so water just ran off it.This one caught water really bad so I added a 2-foot extension to raise it up (like a roof) but it still did not work as you can see in the photos. It is hard to imagine this one ever being used anyplace that receives rain because it would catch water and end up tearing.The size is good, but with the 2-3 foot dip in the center, it is useless. They need to change the picture because the photo shows it being flat all the way across.

Seems well made. Color is very nice. Pretty much tangerine. Turns the light on our patio a sunny color which makes the living room look sunny. All the people complaining about it sagging when it gets wet, we will not get rain for three more months or so and will just take it down for the winter. I would buy it again.

This product is not square-I bought it to use as a tarp to install from the fence to the roof. Did not work, so now I use it to install over the grass when it gets over 90 degrees.
