Sweet, funny, romantic, adventurous, and so steamy!
Rushing In (Bailey Brothers #4) by Claire Kingsley is a contemporary, small town romance told in first person, dual POV. It's book four in the Bailey Brothers series, and although it follows a different couple from the previous books, the series is designed to be read in order as each book builds upon the next and there's a mystery thread that runs throughout the series.Gavin is the youngest Bailey brother, a firefighter, fearless daredevil and adrenaline junkie. When an accident leaves him with a broken leg and unable to work, he's bored out of his mind, but hasn't been able to stop thinking of Skylar Stanley from the moment they collided.Skylar is an author who recently returned to Tilikum for a change of scenery after losing her agent, publisher, and boyfriend all on the same day. She's shy, introverted, and has a bad case of writer's block. When Gavin offers to be her first friend in Tilikum and show her the sights, she can't resist, despite the fact that he scares her - she's more drawn to him than she's afraid.Gavin and Slylar have an instant chemistry and attaction to each other, but Gavin is determined to keep things as just friends because she's his mentor and boss's daughter. But pretty soon the pull between them is too hard to resist and Sky and Gav decide to enter into a friends-with-benefits arrangement. What will happen as lines get crossed and feelings develop? What if Gavin's boss finds out?I loved Gavin and Skylar's love story! I loved them as characters and found them both very relatable. I absolutely adore Gavin! He's my favorite Bailey brother so far. I enjoyed getting to know the vulnerable side behind his daredevil exterior. This book had me smiling the whole time I read it. It was sweet, funny, romantic, adventurous, and so steamy! And after that epilogue, I can't wait to read Logan's story next.

Gavin and Princess Squeaker
Another great small town romance in this series, this time featuring Gavin Bailey, one of the Bailey brothers and a resident firefighter, and Skylar Stanley, the chief's daughter who returns home after a bad breakup and losing her job as a writer after her literary agent cheats on her and kicks her out. Whew, it was a lot but the book was really good. Gavin is a sunshine, no fear kind of giuy and Skylar is very much a introverted, shy sort of girl. Gavin makes it his personal mission to become her friend and open up her world to bigger and better things. Of course they fall in love! Their meet cute was adorable, and really funny. I loved them together, because I feel like they brought out the best in each other. And can I just say, Gavin with his kitten, Princess Squeaker, is just the cutest thing ever!

Small town, extrovert/introvert, friends to lovers romance
Gavin is the youngest and most fearless of the Bailey brothers. He loves challenges and participating in outrageous stunts. His family often refers to him as having a death wish, but he just sees himself as living life to the fullest. Like two of his brothers, he's a firefighter. Skylar, who's the daughter of the fire chief, comes back to live in the small town after she is suddenly and unceremoniously dumped by her literary agent/ex-boyfriend and given less than a day to vacate his apartment because his married girlfriend (he's been cheating on Sky) is moving in. Despite twelve, highly-successful previous novels, Sky's been suffering writer's block for months and has been dropped by her publisher. She meets Gavin in an unusual way but their attraction to each other is immediate. Gavin, who has a playboy, love'em and leave'em reputation, suggests to Sky's dad that he make himself available as a platonic "good will ambassador" to Sky, show her around the area, and introduce her to people. Sky is awkward in social situations and has a hard time connecting with people and making friends. But the "friends only" arrangement becomes impossible for them to maintain. Gavin and Sky's story is interesting and romantic as it unfolds. We see new layers to Gavin's personality underneath his surface charm, including a long-buried hurt related to his family situation. The heartwarming closeness between the brothers and the grandmother showcased in the previous books is still apparent. Cara, a secondary character from the previous books, remains very entertaining. I love the way she unabashedly and ferociously protects/avenges those she's adopted as part of her small inner circle. I'm highly anticipating Cara and Logan's story in the next book.
