Review after four years and multiple pairs: The best economy earbuds out there
After trying several different brands of ear buds, the JBuds stand out as the most impressive. The buds fit very comfortably due to them coming with three sizes of silicone 'buds' so you can custom your fit. The noise cancellation part of these is adequate; nothing special but they do the job. Where these shine is the sound. The sound is extremely good for an ear bud in this price range, with consistent volume, no crackling, deep bass, and good range. The sound is much better than their price would suggest. I am writing this review several years after my purchase; in fact I am replacing my own ear buds with the exact same model due to their quality. I use them mostly during treadmill sessions and while I do yard work and find they are quite durable. I get a year or two out of them with frequent use. The thing that necessitated my buying a new pair was the jack connection failing and causing uneven sound.I have probably bought five or six pairs of these over the past few years and the quality is consistent. The different colors choices also make everyone in my family happy so they can be told apart and the item ships quickly every time in a small, clear plastic carrying bag.I highly recommend them.

BOO. ONE SIDE GOES DEAD - EVERY DANG TIME!
I've been purchasing JLab "Jbuds" for 6 years b/c they were affordable and good quality. Well, not anymore. I've bought about 12 pairs of this brand and the last 4 have been poo. I only use them at my desk, hooked to a laptop for sound, so they don't get treated roughly or coiled/uncoiled at all. The first few pairs of the older style were great - lasted at least a year each...but BAM, once they added the mic to the standard pair not only did the longevity of the item drop, but the design, material, and sound quality dropped as well. One side stops working within a month or two. The holes for the earbud sound to come out are shaped differently...the wires leads to the ear bud portions are flimsier. This last pack I got not only has one defective side already, but it sounded tinny and not as rich sounding as old pairs I'd gotten. I received a sticker saying "Stop - contact Jlabs support if you experience issues" and thought I'd reach out to them for resolution before leaving bad feedback on Amazon...but they expect you to pay non refundable shipping for a pair of $7 earbuds? Nah. Why pay the same price I paid for the earbuds originally to ship a return and get a warrantied pair replacement of the same defective item and the same money out of pocket? Guess I need to find another affordable, fair quality earbud 'cause THESE A'INT IT.

Earbud with Mic version: works great on my Android phone!
I have been using the non-mic version of these for a year, and they have held up well. I was getting tired of re-charging by bluetooth headset so I figured I'd try this one with the mic... it works great! It shipped directly from the factory in the midwest, which took a few more days than the non-mic version would have taken... no big deal. It came in a sealed plastic tear-open bag with two other ear-bud options aside from the big ones shown here; a small one, which I much prefer since they stay in my ears very well, and and oblong pair, which I didn't even bother to try. When I plug them in, they are immediately recognized by the 4.x Android OS of my phone as both a headset and mic... all good! Volume is good, quality of mic sound is good as per my GF, and very little problem with wind noise, which was a BIG problem with my bluetooth headsets...winner!For the price, I don't see how you can beat the JBuds with the Mic for smart-phone use. Sometimes simple and cheap is better... in this case, it is true!

Earbuds a little muffled - mic is amazing!
I'm a little disappointed, the sound seems a little muffled however the volume level makes up for it. At $8 i have to say it was worth the purchase. Every set of head phones that I have owned has had a mic. The mic on previous headphones has always been sub-par. (example: while having conversations on the phone the other person would have a hard time hearing me) With these headphones the mic is amazing, the best i have yet to find. I would purchase these headphones again just because I am not fighting with a mic driving down the road in order to talk on the phone. Worth the $8!

Mediocrity at its finest
Will these earbuds do their intended purpose- to play music from a personal device directly into your ears? Yes.Could these earbuds be improved? Most definitely.First, let's look at the pros:-They're cheap (less than 10 bucks)-They certainly feel comfortable-They play music-They have a play/pause button that works on iOS devicesNow the cons:-They're cheap: the wires are very thin, the product feels as if it may fall apart-The sound quality is very lacking: while mids are fine, both highs and lows, especially bass, left much to be desired-The play/pause button is hit or miss on Android devices: sometimes it completes its purpose, other times does wonky stuffBasically, spend a little more and get something better...these are not a good call when you're in the market for earbuds.

Awesome lower end cost of the spectrum Earbuds
These were one of my favorite headphones for the longest time, until I broke them! I used them day in day out on campus, and they took a LOT of abuse! If they weren't in-ear... they were at the bottom of a backpack or in a pocket. I lost the padding on the earbuds a number of times, but the were easy to put back on when I located them.Sadly, I eventually did break off the plastic portion that holds the padding, and snapped at the stem. It was irreparable, and while I've considered getting another pair, at this point, I think it would almost make more sense to invest in a sturdier pair considering the day to day use.I did love the noise-reduction of this pair, and the mic was AWESOME for such a value pair. Again, if I don't go with an expensive pair, I will definitely repurchase from these folks. Very pleased.
