Smart Baking Company Smartbuns, Gluten Free, Sugar Free and Carb Free Buns (24 Count Sesame)

I've been on Keto for so long that when I came across these buns I was extremely skeptical. On the great KETO lifestyle, whenever I see a 'low carb' or 'zero carb' item I always say to myself "ok what's the catch?" Usually when an item is low/zero carb it either taste horrible, isn't filling, or is using so many chemicals that it might as well not be considered food anymore. So I ordered these buns seeing that the ingredients we're straight forward so there might be hope for them. Tried them and am very pleased to say they taste just like a normal bun (which is exactly what you want) and are still zero carbs to not effect your KETO. I ate them everyday on KETO and I always teste my urine with KETONE strips to see if food is effecting my state of ketosis, and am excited to say these are the real deal as to not pull you out of keto. I didn't have any digestive issues at all so glad that wasn''t an issue. I might have took a star off due to the 38$ price tags for 24 buns, but thinking about it logically, if you go to a normal place to get a burger or even a place like Arby's for a sandwich your paying 3-5$ for a burger/sandwich. These are essentially $1.55 if they sold them individually, so if you take for example a roast beef with chedder on bun at Arby's for 5-7$, broken down its like 3-4$ for the meat, 50cent to 1$ for the cheese and 1$ for the bun. With that in mind these are actually fairly priced. I will be ordering another batch of these again as you will not find a better KETO bun on the market and especially not at the store in present day.

I was hesitant at first even after reading so many positive results. These buns are absolutely fabulous for being Keto. No funny after taste, they smell good and taste great. My husband has been kicking and screaming all the way with the Keto diet because he misses so much of the carbs. I have tried many other Keto approved breads and all have failed my husbands taste buds except for SmartBuns. He says that these come as close to the real deal. These buns stood up to drippy juicy hamburgers like a pro. I toasted the bun on the grill along side of the burgers. I miss toast in the morning and so this has been my quest. So I toasted the bun till golden on both sides, some butter and then cream cheese. Can I say just delicious!!! The next is using this bun for French Toast. The only down fall is that the bun is a little dry, but that is not a bid work around. Thank-you again Smart Baking Company. I will definitely buy this product again!!!!

The last time I ordered, I received less than half my order. It was near impossible to contact the company. My credit card company thankfully stepped in. On the actual product, however, I usually love them. These arrived in a smashed box. The buns were smushed and rubbery. I have purchased on Amazon, but they were out of stock, so I tried the online store. The first time was great. I cannot purchase from a company that does not respond when there is a problem.

Just received mine today and was anxious to try one out. They arrived well packaged with a FREEZE ASAP sticker on the outside of the box. I inspected them and there were no signs of mold or any white spots so I popped them in the freezer and one package in the fridge. I have been without bread for awhile since I'm on Keto and was not fond of the Keto type bread you make. The Smart Bun tasted a little dry as others have mentioned but certainly made for a delicious turkey & swiss sandwich. I'm sure if I had some iceberg lettuce I would not have noticed the the bun being a little dry but the sandwich was still good to the last bite. When you stop and think the effort that must go into making these taste as close to the real deal I think they succeeded. I have not found anything that claims to have no sugar, no carbs anywhere else and this was exactly what I wanted, so a tad dry is definitely liveable... I bet toasted would be even better, will update on that!

These are amazing quality! They are regular size keto hamburger buns. Easy to get apart and easy to fill with your buger essentials inside. If you are on keto you can still have great tasting buns!

Wow! I ordered these smart buns because I am on the Keto diet and after trying so many diets over the years that didn’t work for me, Keto has been amazing. I have lost fifty pounds in four months. So in order to stay on track, tired of not being able to have bread, I ordered these. I made a delicious burger, toasted the bun and added a bit of butter, then put a bit of mayo on bun. It was delicious! The smart bun didn’t crumble or fall apart, it was very sturdy. The burger was delicious and filling. I am happy with this product. I think toasting the bun and adding a bit of butter is delicious, I have not tried the bun straight out of the pack yet. It doesn’t taste like regular bread, but it is not a bad different, just different, and filling, satisfying and delicious. I put the rest in the freezer and will take some out as I use them. It says on the box they’re delivered in to put in freezer when delivered. I give this Keto friendly bun a thumbs up, I think they got this one right, some Keto products can really taste awful, these buns, in my opinion, are a winner! Thumbs up! Can’t wait to make a nice Keto breakfast sandwich with them :)

I gave this three stars because it is what it claims to be but it just does not work for me. It arrived OK and I immediately put it into the freezer. I did have high hopes for this product. The slices seem under sized. The texture is no where near actual bread, it does not hold up well when you used it with a burger, tends to crumble. It does not toast well either. And, the taste just isn't there. Since I'm not a hard core Ketoer I think I will stick to a good whole wheat bun for those times I need one. Just in moderation.
