What is the cure time?

Honestly, not sure what the cure time is because I hardly used it. I purchased a case of the stuff but only used 2 tubes. It does not flow and is not sticky like regular caulk. I'd say that it is more like a loose putty. It just couldn't get it to flow into the void like I wanted. I was disappointed. I finished the job with Energy Seal. FYI, I was trying to use it to seal gaps between logs of a log home (chinking). Hope this helps.

does this product last over time? has anyone has it on the exterior for over 5 years?

Yes it does, I used it in California climate though, so not sure about cold weather.

Can this be used on roof shingles to stop leaks?

Big Stretch would adhere to the shingles, but is not the most effective product for stopping leaks on roofs. I would actually recommend another product called Through the Roof. It is a bit heartier and can be used either as a caulk or in a brush grade for patching larger areas if you are unsure about exactly where the leak originates from. Can i use this product to fill a 3/8" gap that is 1/4" deep?

Big Stretch can be used to fill a gap that size. We do recommend using backer rod or some kind of bond breaker in the joint to allow for movement and if the surface is coated with anything, please contact one of our awesome product specialists to make sure the Big Stretch is compatible.
