ROYAL SHAVE 3" Black Latigo Leather Straight Razor Strop with Handle - For Straight Razor Sharpening- Made in USA

I bought this product in March, about three months ago. The hardware on this stop is flawless, but when it was shipped it was coiled in a small box, which caused the leather to be wrinkled and when I used the strop small leather particles would be left behind. Being new to wet shaving, I didn't think it would make much of a difference and thought it would even its self out. The chip in my blade says otherwise. Being well aware of my own stupidity, I contacted RoyalShave only asking them if they would replace the stop. That was a few days ago and I hadn't heard anything back.Lack of response leads me to believe that this is the quality RoalShave is willing to stand by and that they are aware that this product had a chance to be defeated. I had read earlier reviews stating that the leather quality was poor, but I figured with the high ratings it was a few errors in quality control. Considering the lack of response from RoyalShave I wouldn't purchase this product again, or anything from their company.​

I am just beginning to shave with a straight razor and this is the first strop i've decided to buy. I bought it because of the high reviews and it seemed like a quality purchase, something that would last me a while.I received this strop in a small box. It came rolled up, which was a red flag, but I was excited to check it out and it looked like a beautiful piece of leather. However, upon further investigation i noticed a couple stretches, one near the base by 'made in usa' and the other right in the center :(. Almost looking dried and cracked. Now, by no means am i an expert on strops but I can't imagine these ripples would be good for the edge of the razor. This is probably from being rolled up in packaging, and I wouldn't blame the company for this but come on there has to be some kind of quality control in shipping. I paid good money and wouldn't mind paying an extra couple of bucks to actually receive the product as it's sold.If you ask me this should be shipped flat in a long narrow box rather than rolled up in a cube box.Once again, I'm just beginning with straight razors and have no other strops to compare so if these wrinkles are alright then I'll gladly change my review to five stars.

I decided to start shaving with a straight razor. I found a Damascus custom made blade. After sharpening with a diamond sharpener I stripped the blade about 50 strokes and ready to shave. I touch the blade up with about a dozen strokes each time. Could not ask anything better for sharpening the blade.

I love this strop, works very well for what I need it to do. As well as the leather side there is a cotton side were I use one of the sides I put the green compound on and left the other side as is. Guess what I'm saying is that I have 3 sides that I work with. This strop is very functional and must to have.

I was new to the straight razor world, but I knew enough from watching my grandfather and barbers that a straight razor requires a good strop. This is a very well made, durable, high quality shaving strop. It does its job very well.The design is very efficient. From the swivel clip and ring at the top to the comfortable, leather handles at the bottom, this strop is very easy to use and certainly effective.I would recommend this shaving strop to anyone who enjoys the art of straight razor shaving. Just do yourself a kindness and get this high quality shaving strop. Period!

Very well made and yes it work. I could never get my straight razor that sharp with out the compound and this strop. 10 out of 10

Best you can get. If you are a noob, get something cheaper first because you will cry when you cut into this by accident.The width is terrific. No need to sweep across the width which makes things easier.The quality is top shelf.

This strop looks nice but it is NOT made of real leather. It is faux leather, so it is not going to last.
