Baba Yaga Hut - Bones Black Deluxe Boxed Set

This model is far larger than I thought it would be. There are several more details that you don't see in the pictures. For example the model comes with a model of baba yaga on her pot/cauldron, the underside of the house has a trapdoor (the model is solid so the door doesn't go anywhere but it's a nice detail). Also this thing is SOLID. I am more worried about if the model should fall over and hurting someone/ something/ put a dent in the floor than I am of it falling over and damaging the model itself.

This arrived rapidly in a big box and was in perfect condition. No issues with painting it (though it's sizeable--you need some paint!)! My only issue is that it's a little off-balance. Not terribly, but the legs are slighty too-close-together, and I think they are slightly too bent in one direction, and after gluing the first time, I had to pry the legs out of the base again (luckily the base and the legs are quite sturdy) and use GreenStuff to create a 'shelf' inside to alter the angle of the legs so the house stood upright. It is still theatrically canted to an extent, but it no longer falls over, and I'm really happy with it!

I love the details and idea of this so much. Sadly the chicken legs are not strong enough to hold up the hut and it topples over if you look at it wrong. I did discover that if you put a person figurine under one of the feet it tilts it just enough to make it a little more stable and gives it a fearful look that it is crushing someone. It’s kind of a nice touch but sad that it is necessary.
