Hey all,Congrats!! You found your solution!! I have been cutting bagels with knife and cutting board my whole life. A couple months ago I somehow cut my finger pretty good. I decided to look at alternative solutions. I thought about the guillotine style but read they can smash instead of cut so I went with the wooden holder you put the bagel in and cut with your own knife. After a couple weeks of dragging knife blade against side of wooden box, having blade pop inside box stifling cutting and the need to still use your finger to strategically hold still along with needing to clean out after each use had me looking for alternative solutions and I am glad I did because I ran across this bagel cutter.I was very happy to see the blade guard it came with as I did not know it would be as safe to store as it is. The first use shocked me as the blade went through like a light saber. Cut was nice, smooth and center. I cut over sink not needing additional clean up like my other solutions attempts. I am thankful to find this. Feeding through one side and pull through on other is effortless and safe. Two thumbs up!

Great product. Love using it. The only drawback is that it is large and storing it is awkward.

This bagel cutter works very nicely and seems to be of high quality. The design definitely protects your hand while using it. The only minor issue is that while it cuts thick bagels very evenly, thinner bagels can be cut way off center if you are not careful to center the bagel on the blade and keep it centered while using the knife. It is also fairly large and may not fit in smaller drawers.It cleans very easily and the protective shield is a nice feature. Definitely recommended.

Bigger than I expected but it's perfect for my son to cut his own bagels now and not have to worry about him cutting his hands

It's far too big! The bagel doesn't touch the sides, which are therefore useless for guiding the knife. So really it's just a bread knife that you can't use for bread.
