One of the most distinctive and celebrated names in modern Japanese cinema, there’s no other filmmaker quite like Shinya Tsukamoto. Since his early days as a teenager making Super 8 shorts, he has remained steadfastly independent, garnering widespread acclaim while honing his own unique and instantly recognizable aesthetic on the margins of the industry. Frequently exploring themes of urban alienation, physical transformation and psychosexual obsession, his films cross genre boundaries, defying straightforward classification. This collection gathers together eight feature-length films and two shorts from Tsukamoto’s diverse filmography, including his most recent offering – his samurai drama Killing.Includes:Tetsuo: The Iron Man, Tetsuo II: Body Hammer, Tokyo Fist, Bullet Ballet, A Snake of June, Vital, Kotoko, Killing, The Adventure of Denchu-Kozo, HazeSPECIAL EDITION CONTENTSHigh Definition Blu-ray™ (1080p) presentations of all ten filmsOriginal lossless PCM 1.0 mono audio on Tetsuo: The Iron Man, Tetsuo II: Body Hammer, The Adventure of Denchu-Kozo and Tokyo FistOriginal lossless PCM 2.0 stereo audio on Bullet Ballet and HazeOriginal lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 on A Snake of June, Vital, Kotoko and KillingOptional lossless PCM 2.0 stereo audio on Tokyo FistOptional lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 on Bullet BalletOptional English subtitles for all filmsAudio commentaries by Japanese cinema expert Tom Mes on all ten filmsJapanese Cinema’s Provocateur Extraordinaire, a career-spanning interview with Shinya TsukamotoAn Assault on the Senses, a visual essay on the films and style of Shinya Tsukamoto by Japanese cinema expert Jasper SharpMultiple archival interviews with Shinya Tsukamoto, covering every film in the collectionShooting A Snake of June, an archival behind-the-scenes featurette on the film’s productionArchival The Making of Vital featuretteArchival behind-the-scenes featurette on Vital’s world premiere at the Venice Film FestivalArchival featurette on Vital’s special effectsThe Making of Haze, an archival behind-the-scenes featurette on the film’s productionKaori Fuji at the Locarno Film Festival, an archival featurette focusing on Haze’s lead actressArchival Background to The Adventure of Denchu-Kozo featuretteTokyo Fist, Bullet Ballet and Vital music clipsMultiple trailers and image galleriesReversible sleeves featuring newly commissioned artwork by Gilles Vranckx, Gary Pullin, Jacob Phillips, Chris Malbon, Tommy Pocket, Peter Strain and Tony Stella

Great Boxset
The films: most of Tsukamoto's oeuvre is here, and they are all stunning and creative. Each is a cult classic. The subject matter is never the same: from cyberpunk horror to period samurai flick, so you'll never get bored. The extras: LOADS of extras for each film. Includes even Tsukamoto's short films like the acclaimed HAZE.The packaging: great artwork. A sturdy box (unlike the other popular label, cough cough).

Solid sturdy packaging
So I hope this helps people want to buy this. When I was reading the reviews I didn’t see any that said what I was looking for. Even looked up specifically the standard edition on YouTube and couldn’t find anything. Yes this standard edition boxset of this is the thick cardboard box that arrow usually does for their limited releases. It’s not flimsy paper like I’ve seen for some other ones. It’s nice solid quality that is good and sturdy. The reason it is standard is because it does not have the poster or booklet which of course would be amazing to have but unfortunately I missed out when the limited release dropped. Just happy to have the beautiful boxset with amazing artwork and films!!!

Just a gorgeous collection.
This is my first Arrow video purchase and it's really everything that makes a movie-collecting nerd happy. The slipcover is sturdy and looks nice on the shelf. The movie art is just spectacular. The special features, abundant. It includes an art book with essays inside, much like a criterion movie. And the thing that always makes me happy: a poster with amazing Tetsuo art!

Tetsuo: the bullet man is an insane trip
I bought this set just for the Tetsuo movies. I'm a huge fan of foreign films, especially Japanese movies. I haven't watched the rest of the movies in the set, but be prepared for some insanity with Tetsuo. I actually had to look up plot synopsis for it because it was so crazy. I can't even decide if I thought it was good or not 😂. If you love foreign movies or just want to see something really different go ahead and pick this up. Just be warned that Tetsuo is frantic and complete insanity lol
