This flute is solid, and beautiful. It's not made with thin bamboo, the walls are a good thickness. I used a small piece of masking tape for the dizi hole and it sounds amazing IMO. It came with exactly what was advertised, the flute and the bag. If you don't know what a dizi bamboo flute is, you should research before you buy. This is an excellent quality flute for the money. IMO it sounds amazing too considering how inexpensive it was to buy.Seriously, one small piece of clear tape over the dizi hole, and you're in business. If you want to use the dizi tape or membrane thing, knock yourself out.

Unfortunately, the flute looked fine but no sounds came out of it. I had my grandson attempt to play it because he plays the saxophone and again no sounds. Amazon refunded my money.

This wooden flute is pretty cool, but there were no instructions, note pictutes, or songs to play along to.
