Each watch is provided with a unique Identification Number in the box, and a serial number which you will find at the back of the watch. You can register the watch on the website and log in to your account to follow the impact that that your donation has caused. About The Philosopher - Our ability to think differently and adapt to our surroudings, learning from the past in order to create a better future, is what makes humanity so special. The gun metal Philosopher, and its components such as the asymmetric second hand, have been designed to celebrate this. The contrast between the conical shaped cases base and its face creates a sharp two piece dial in order to draw the eye to the centre of the timepiece, to the now! While tugging lugs, brushed finish, and raised watch case provide the finishing touches to its unique style. With its inter-changeable straps, The Philosopher is a perfectly timeless timepiece for you to carry with you through the years.

Clean and simple
The watch came packaged in a slide out box, flat, rather than around a watch shaped holder. The documentation is in a tidy little envelope behind the felt-like backing securing the watch when you open it. A protective film is on both the face and back of the watch as well. A small plastic piece holds the crown out and once removed the watch can start. The brown leather strap that came attached was a pretty subdued tone and has some thickness to it, it doesn't look or feel like one of those cheap stamped leather ones some other manufacturers use. The clasp is polished chrome while the case is a darker brushed or maybe spun gunmetal. The minute and second hands are a darker reflective material than the more matte silver of the second hand. I like that the second hand has a slight asymmetry to it, but dislike that it doesn't quite line up with the tick marks on the face. The 12 primary time indication marks are all raised little bars that look nice, while the minute marks between them look like they might be printed onto the dial. Where all of these indicators are is nicely beveled from the near the glass down to the no-man's land where the arms are. There's also a slight bevel around the window for the date which adds a little bit of depth. The color of the face seems to be a slightly warm white to my eyes, which I think works well with the other tones of the watch.I generally prefer my bands to attach to the case a little higher up than from the bottom as they do on this watch, but now that I've got it it's growing on me. One neat little touch I've not seen before is that the bands attach with a pin as most do, but they have a little cutout and a thing on the pin so that you can do it with your fingernail, rather than a funky little tool. At first I worried this would rub on my wrist and be uncomfortable because it does stick out below the band, but because of the angle and space it's in I've found I can't feel them, so that's nice. My wrist is slightly between sizes on the band so I hope that over time the leather will change shape a bit, but otherwise, I'm happy with it so far.

Floppy
Christmas gift goes south. The watch Looks nice, that’s why it gets a two star, however it slips and slides around the wrist. If it were to be tightened one more notch it would be a tourniquet. Balance is key between the notches, this watch is lacking that.

Band was Too Small
The watch arrived on time and was great quality. The only problem was that the band was too small to fit a man's wrist. I had to return it. The return was quick and easy. Wish it would have worked out because it was a very nice watch.

Watch Defective Out of The Box
Time adjustment is broken. You can tell that the mechanism is trying to track as the minute hand wobbles when you spin the crown in the time adjustment position, but the mechanism is broken. I have initiated replacement with Amazon but am unsure I will keep it as I am worried about the quality of the craftsmanship--especially concerning when I could buy a ~$30 watch with similar styling and replace it 6-7 times for the price of this watch.
