Really well made and comfortable to sit on. Sturdy steps too.

Not too heavy but very sturdy. I am short so I need lots of help to reach the upper shelves of my kitchen. This easy to fold and unfold ladder is just for my kitchen. It fits snug up against the cabinets so I can reach the top shelves easily. It is attractive so I don't have to stow it away in a closet.

The overall quality of material and construction is good. The steps can feel wobbly or like it’s going to fold in on itself when you’re putting weight on them. Probably fine for a quick step up, but not good if you’re going to be using the steps extensively because there’s no “locking mechanism” to keep it stable. Comfortable to sit on the top step and I use it to access and peruse my bookshelf.

The box came damaged but was happy it did not affect the product. Perfect for extra countertop seating, watering plants on higher shelves, and reaching upper cabinets. It is solid wood, however like other reviews, I would not expect miracles using this on a daily basis with a lot of weight. It’s a step stool. I’m 5’8”, 165lbs and feel completely comfortable on it.

Though it has a form factor that my wife likes, this stool is made of garbage material. It snapped under normal use by a 150 lb woman; she landed pretty hard onto an item that was on the floor, and was lucky not to suffer more-serious injury. The break itself, as you can see from the picture, wasn't even along a joint. This is a relatively expensive stool, so we are disappointed.I'll add that the stool has a first step that is easy to miss on the way down. Moreover, the feet slide all over the place. They need some kind of rubber on the step side and a longer first step (which there is room for when folded).I wish we could get our money back or, if this was just a fluke, a replacement.

I love this item! First I ordered it in white thinking that it would look good with my white kitchen cabinets with black hardware, but the white was far too white and looked out of place in my kitchen. The black one works much better. It's sort of a soft black, almost like a dark espresso. The stain was worn off in a couple of places. I did not take stars off because I like the item so much, also I solved the problem by coloring in those small areas with a black Sharpie

Super helpful.....just pay the price and get to work, safely. When not in use, it's a clothes drying rack.

I was worried because some reviews said it wasn’t sturdy. But it is. Very sturdy and the perfect height. It doesn’t have a top rail like a normal step ladder. Maybe that’s why some may feel uneasy at the very top. And the leg bottoms are bare wood so it will slide on hard surfaces. Need to add non-skid pads and you’re good to go.
