Tamron 70-300mm F/4.5-6.3 Di III RXD for Sony Full-Frame mirrorless Camera Lens (Black)

After using this Tamron 70-300 in high steroids for last 3days I think I'm in a good position to write a review. First of all before purchase this lens, you have to remember that this lens is built for full frame sensor, in Apsc sensor the focul length is different. For example I pair this lens with my ZV-E10 which is APSC having crop factor 1.5 hence I got effective focul length of this lens is 105-450 and which is hugeeee. You can see the attached comparison video attached. This makes this telephoto lens a very niche specific lens. This is sharp, and image quality is excellent. And due to this huge focul length, you can use this lens for the wildlife and street and landscape photography only, it shouldn't serve your daily life photography session, for that casual usecase go for 17-70. Honestly I never imagine that this lens is soo lightweight just 545 g which is good for long session photography. Anyways the lens produce excellent and crisp images in daylight and the subject separation is good, no edge sharpness loosing was observed yet maybe because it is used with an apsc body. In night light it definitely sucks a bit thanks to it 5.6F stopbut with good lighting it produces decent image. On a last verdict this is the best telephoto lens under this budget but not a all in one lens. For my case it's worth the money.

Very good lens with sharp images, and, of course, Autofocus is a bit slow, especially in low light. Tried today for a Sunrise Photography in Chennai. Good output. The camera used was Sony a7iii. But at low light conditions, vignetting occurs esp .at 300MM focal length.

Fabulous lens at a phenomenal price. You must get it and even I a professional love it. Reviews don't do justice to this lens. I use it for cricket, weddings and events. Excellent value. Better than a 70-200 when used in a well lit stage (weddings) 💖

Writing this review after 1 month of usage. This is the BEST Telephoto lens for Sony Cameras at this price range. I use Sony A6700 (APSC Sensor) and with lens I can zoom between 105mm to 450mm, which is very much sufficient for wildlife, sunset, moon, Birds and many more. Picture Quality - 9/10 Autofocus - 8/10 Stability - 7/10 ( I suggest you use it with a camera that has in built stabilization) Zoom Range - 8/10 ( Depends on the camera body you use) Overall Lightweight, compact, super useful range of focal length, good pictures quality. Hope this is helpful !!

Pros: Sharp. Very little focus breathing. Actually a good portrait lense. Not that heavy (Can fit in most medium camera bags. Cons Not enought zoom for wildlife. No zoom lock button. (The zoom creeps out on ling trecks). Big nono for low light.

Autofocus is good

After so much confusion finally decided to buy this, its really worth for beginners, i brought this for my sony zv10 mark2 , its working fabulously, for new purchasers i have uploaded one video take a look at that , that's enough to buy this lens , only i felt bad is stabilization, little not ok, try with tripod

Acquistato in sostituzione del classico obiettivo del kit, il SEL 55-210 f4.5-6.3 oss. Il miglioramento è notevole. Sono rimasto subito colpito dalla nitidezza generale delle immagini, stessi colori degli obiettivi Sony, e ottimo contrasto. Nel mio caso, usandolo su una Sony A6300- c'è da fare un po' di attenzione per la mancanza della stabilizzazione,ma, si puo' ovviare all'inconveniente, alzando un po' gli asa, che non è certo un problema , con le fotocamere moderne. (Beh, la stabilizzazione esiste da pochi anni, ma le foto le facevamo anche prima, e con ben altre limitazioni....basta pensare alla pellicola, che normalmente si usava la 100asa, e non si poteva certo aumentare o diminuire a piacimento, e inoltre le attrezzature pesavano il triplo!!) . Ritornando all'obiettivo in questione, sono molto soddisfatto dell'acquisto, mantiene tutte le funzioni sia AF, che tutto il resto, come se fosse un Sony originale. Questo, insieme alla buona qualita, e al peso veramente leggero, ( a proposito, i 545 grammi dichiarati si riferiscono al solo obiettivo, senza tappi e paraluce, completo di tutto si va oltre i 650 grammi!).Credo ci sia ben poco da aggiungere, le recensioni, che si trovano sui vari siti, ne parlano solo bene, e, addirittura, pare vada anche meglio del Sony 70-300,(che pero', io non ho mai avuto il piacere di provare, perchè troppo costoso per me!!).Io lo uso solo poche volte l'anno, quando nelle zone paludose, vicino casa mia, si fermano volatili migratori, di tutti i tipi, ma poi, per il resto, e per i viaggi, ho l'ottimo sel 18-135 oss, che sta montato in macchina praticamente fisso.

For a "cheap" lens (maybe I should say affordable) this gives some great results. The autofocus is decently fast - maybe not up to Sony G Master standards, but I can't afford one of those in this range so it's a moot point. The lens itself is compact for the focal range and it's also not too heavy. Yes, it does feel a bit plasticy, but come on for this price I can put up with that. I've posted a few example images I took with it to show the kind of sharpness you might expect. The cricket shots were shot in APS-C mode on my Sony A7iV, so the resolution is lower than normal and ISO was fairly high, but the shots give a good example of the lens output. I'd love to buy one of the super high quality Sony versions, but they're about what, 7 times the price? For this money the Tamron is a real bargain in my opinion. Bear in mind, when looking at the example cricket shots, that this is not the full resolution of the camera - I used APS-C mode to get an effective focal length range of 105-450mm. If I'd been closer to the action and using the full frame resolution the shots would have been even sharper. I think the lens is also great for portraiture, despite having a fairly small aperture. You can still get pleasing bokeh and shallowish depth of field. The photos of my dogs demonstrate that well, I think. If you look at the photo of my Maltese and check out the sharpness of his eyes and facial hair, coupled with the depth of field fall off, you can see how good this lens would be for portraiture. Hard to go wrong with this lens for the money and remember it's actually a full frame FE fitting. I did a lot of research before buying this lens and it was a case of getting this - which I can afford - giving me maybe 90-95% of what I want from a lens like this, or saving up for a year and getting the expensive Sony. Honestly, no contest.

Das Tamron 70-300mm A047SF F/4.5-6.3 Di III RXD habe ich mir gekauft, um etwas mehr Tele für meine beiden Sony Alpha Kameras zu haben. Nach dem gründlichen Lesen diverser Tests und Beschreibungen habe ich mich für dieses Objektiv entschieden. Es ist bezahlbar, sehr leicht und kompakt und wird für seine gute Bildqualität gelobt. Dies kann ich mittlerweile bestätigen. Es ergibt an meinen Kameras eine sehr handliche Kombination. Die Bildqualität ist über jeden Zweifel erhaben. Ich habe viele Testfotos geschossen, und dabei überzeugte mich schon die Schärfe bei Offenblende. Chromatische Aberrationen sind kein großes Thema, die Vignettierung läßt sich problemlos in der Bildbearbeitung korrigieren (wenn sie denn stört). Ich habe zudem einen Vergleichstest zu meinem Tamron SP 70-300 mm/4-5,6 Di VC USD Canon gemacht. Dies ist die klassische Version eines 70-300mm Teleobjektives für Spiegelreflexkameras. Als Kamera habe ich die Canon EOS 6D Mark II verwendet, im Vergleich zu der Sony Alpha 7 II mit dem neuen 70-300er. Die Kameras sind von der Bildqualität und Auflösung vergleichbar. Das Ergebnis: Das Tamron 70-300mm A047SF F/4.5-6.3 Di III RXD schlägt das "alte" 70-300mm klar und deutlich. Vor allem offenblendig (schauen Sie bitte den Fotovergleich an) liefert es bereits detailscharfe Bilder. Vor allem auch am Bildrand ist die neue Konstruktion für spiegellose Kameras viel besser. Dabei ist auch schon das klassische 70-300er ein gutes Objektiv, welches in Tests überzeugen konnte. Daher gebe ich eine klare Kaufempfehlung für das Objektiv!
