This was my 9 year olds favorite Christmas gift
First of all when this blue spooner pro arrived I was really excited that it came with really pretty custom grips! Not the plain black ones, but instead a photograph image of a wave and a turtle swimming underneath! Really pretty, and unexpected. I bought one spooner pro for my my 9 year old and one for my 11 year old. I bought a spooner freestyle for my 2 year old. All three kids like them, but my nine year old spends the most time with it. She loves spinning and spinning on our tile floor. Mostly lying on her back but also on her tummy and she is experimenting with a standing/squatting spin. Also just balance walking on it is fun too. It makes me a little nervous but I think it’s great for kids to learn balance while they are kids and some accidents are to be expected. So far she’s only bonked into a chair leg while spinning when she wasn’t paying attention that she was shifting closer to it. My 2 year old will ride on top of her when she’s doing a lying spin and will lay on his back curled in a ball to spin on his own but not too fast. He likes to go over and over again and almost fell asleep once doing it! I was able to get the freestyle discounted on a deal of the day, but the others I paid full price. It’s a really neat active toy. I like that there is no weight limit and I like to experiment on it myself as well as many other adults who come around.

Great for Boardsports people!
I ride street decks, longboards, and snowboards... and wanted something for my niece and nephew to get started on their balance. They are having hours of fun, and I even bought 1 for myself to break the monotony of the office! Love it!

Depends on the Kid
I ordered the blue board for my 6 year old son. The wave and turtle design on the grips is really cool, and the board is very sturdy. However, the bottom scratched up the very first time it was tried out, even though it was used on a relatively smooth floor. I don't think that's a big deal when using it, but it might effect a return or future resale.I bought this as a tool for helping my son work on his balance and get some wiggles out. Unfortunately, it didn't work out that way. You can spin on it and rock on it, but he quickly lost interest as he wasn't motivated to try the tricks. Actually, one of the first things he does with it is to turn it over to make a bridge/balance beam out of it. I don't think it's made for that, but it has supported his 60 pounds without breaking. I picked this instead of a wooden wobble balance board, but that offers more play options and might have been a better bet for my son.I do think this would be a good tool for kids who want to learn skateboarding, snowboarding or surfing tricks. I'm hoping that my son will have more interest in it in the future. It is a good but slightly pricey product for what it is. It just depends on the interests of the kid using it.
