This Nature Made Ultra fish oil is an excellent product, but be very careful whom you buy it from. If not stored properly or if it is very old, fish oil can go rancid causing an unpleasant fishy odor/taste and losing some of its health benefits. I have never had any problems with the product when purchasing it directly from Amazon (or Walgreens or CVS), but I have had bad experience when buying this product from 3rd party sellers on Amazon's website. My guess is that some of these 3rd party sellers are able to undercut Amazon's prices by selling older product or product that has quality issues from being stored improperly. This is one of those times where paying a little more is probably a good idea.

I use fish oil for recovery (I'm an athlete), so I take fairly high doses. This is the most potent omega-3 pill I can readily find. I have NOT had fish burps--maybe this is more a function of a person's constitution more than the actual oil? Yes, the pills are QUITE large, so if you don't do well with pills, these won't be for you. I think that's pretty much mind over matter--so if you can take a hefty pill, these are great! (I put three in m mouth and gulp them down--seriously!)

My doctor recommended I take in 1000mg of omega 3 and this was the only bottle I found with a single pill. Now I know why....this thing is HUGE. Like giant. I always thought the dayquil pills were large but this is almost double the size. They are easy to swallow once you mentally get over how huge they are.

I have seen this particular fish-oil ranked in prestigious "top-10's".. Personally, after a lot of research,.. I rank it far and away number 1..! The amount of EPA and DHA is very impressive. While I do wish the ratio was reversed, (DHA over EPA by 2/1), this is still a very efficient source of Omega 3's (1000 mg of omega 3 out of 1400 mg fish oil). Obviously, they are not serving the fins and tails.
