For writers of every stage, this book will help you reach the next level and keep on climbing
This book has an incredible amount of information in it! I loved the step by step process that Steve Scott takes us through to make writing a solid part of everyday life and do it right. There are so many wonderful nuggets, ideas, and resources for the wannabe writer as well as the seasoned author. You'll want to read this book again and keep a notebook handy to jot down your own To-Do list to take those steps needed to reach the next level in your writing life.I've read other books by Steve Scott and as always, this one has a great voice, easy to read. He makes you feel like you're sitting in the room chatting with him and he's offering his tried and true secrets to success. The Miracle Morning isn't a new concept to me as I've been practicing my own daily devotionals for many years, but I LOVE the idea behind the S.A.V.E.R.S. Reading this book has helped me to kick my own mornings up a notch, to take everything I was already doing and do it better, with more focus, intent, and purpose. I'm really excited to continue with these principles. Obviously this is a must-read for anyone thinking about writing a book, but I'd also recommend this to anyone who enjoys stretching the boundaries of what they can achieve. Since at least 80% of people say they want to write a book, this would be a safe gift to give to just about anybody. :)

The book I've been waiting for!
Let me start off by saying that I read the original The Miracle Morning and it changed my life for the better! I went from being a night owl to a 5am morning riser doing a wonderful morning routine which increased happiness and productivity in my life. I had a dream 15 years ago of being an author and publishing my writing, but I was never consistent with my writing habits, which were just a fun hobby. The Miracle Morning for Writers builds upon The Miracle Morning concepts and applies them to writers, then teaches you how to write and publish your novel. The tips in this book (for both fiction and non-fiction writers) were invaluable to help me learn better writing habits as I struggled with consistency. I enjoyed the writer's affirmations, of which I added to my affirmations in my Miracle Morning. The step by step how-to chapters on how to go from research to published novel are essential for anyone looking to become a profitable author. The tips about Evernote were great! I'm going to be referring back to this book again and again as I work on publishing my first book. If you are looking for a great place to start learning how to be a successful author, or you just want to find a way to sell more of the books you currently publish, I would highly recommend picking up this book!

To the Authors
I think Steve Scott wrote most of this book. He's alright. I appreciated the many links included and actionable content. But, there's something undeniably palpable about the passion Hal brings to his books. More stories please!I think that would have improved the text, more stories not just lessons and strategies. This book was almost textbook style, except for Hal's portion, it was painful to read. I finished it with a "Thank God that's over." feeling.I don't want to deter others from getting this book by my honest evaluation that this book was technical manual style. I just want to encourage other potential readers to skim, scan, and put together your game plan because it's not an easy or enjoyable read.

Good, but Lacking
This was a good book to read to help you develop a writing habit, but it could be better. The author solely focuses on writing books, but there are writers who aren’t trying to write a book. He, also, excludes entires genres, such as poetry. He only glosses over freelance writing, especially for beginners, & only discusses writer platforms that provide advice or how-to’s. It does stress the importance of making writing a daily habit & how to consistently create content. In all, the book was just ok.

Intensely Practical, Incredibly Motivating.
Hal Elrod is an exceptional entrepreneur and leader in the field of writing. I think how he put this book together speaks volumes about his big goals. He could have just written it himself, but instead he teamed up with other leaders in the field (as he has for other books in this series) and produced a truly great tool for writers. The book follows the same logical trajectory as does his mainstream Miracle Morning book. Around chapter 4 is when the more writing-targeted material begins. I found this book to be incredibly motivating, even if all the information provided wasn't exactly novel. But that is the point - most of us have an idea of what we should be doing, and don't - or we try to find shortcuts around doing the hard work. Hal does not provide any quick fixes, which is one reason why I found this book to be so helpful. If you are willing to put in the work - daily, consistently, passionately, - then you will eventually reap what you sow.Hal forces readers to focus on the only thing they can control - their habits and attitude. When we focus on the results is when we lose track of our why and fall into dangerous cycles of thinking. Writers must write - and Hal helps us learn how to do that to the best of our capabilities.
