These paints are incredible. I’m not sure I’ll ever use another brand for my big projects. What color and quality. Love these paints. There is a reason they have stood the test of time!

Let me start off by saying this set is truly a dream!! The craftsmanship is impressive. Just buy it!!! You will not regret it!!! Now I have to give the highest praise to the seller, The Journalists!!! I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my daughter & the set arrived damaged. This was the only thing she asked for so it meant a lot for us to give it to her. The damage was caused during transit from the manufacturer NOT by the seller. The seller packaged this set with so much care nothing could penetrate or affect the contents!! This set comes from Germany. Nonetheless, a piece of the wood inside was broken and I contacted the Journalists with less than a week before Christmas in hopes they could send a replacement & they immediately tried to find a solution to make my daughters Christmas a joyful one!! They ended up sending a replacement via FedEx NEXT DAY with Christmas only being a couple days away!! They went above and beyond any other seller I have dealt with to include Amazon!!! I am so thankful!! The set arrived on time despite snow storms happening in our area and my daughter was able to happily open her gift on Christmas Day!! I truly cannot reveal all of the things they offered and actually did to resolve my dilemma but just know that I did NOT pay a dime out of pocket for all of the generosity provided by this amazing company & they did not stop until they were sure we were happy with their solution. They truly made this Christmas amazing for my daughter!! I owe it all to Mike @ The Journalists!!! Do NOT hesitate to buy from this seller because they stand behind their products. They did not have to do ANY of the things they did to ensure the set arrived in time but I will forever be grateful they did!! They have earned a loyal customer!!! Amazing WATERCOLORS! I am an amateur, who after a long break revisited watercolor painting during the pandemic. After many youtube reviews I purchased three sets of paints; Schiminke being one of them (also Cotman and Sonnet). Schiminke are fantastic! Colors are magical. Paints mix, lift, spread better than my other sets. They are expensive but if you think about it; here you get 24 FULL pans for $210. Other, brands sell their professional 24 HALF pans for $110-150. I risked the investment and was not dissapointed. If you paint every now and again , or reserve these for special projects only, full pans will last for years. It is always cheaper to buy tubes but I prefer the convenience of pans. If you are a beginner, or just trying out watercolors it's probably better to start with less expensive brand. Watch some YouTube reviews, read blogs they will help you choose brand best for your style and needs.

These watercolors have some of the best translucency i have ever worked with, while not losing the lovely depth in their pigments. They layer like a dream. For those used to acrylic or gouache this may be a harder transition if you like a heavier look, although it could help train for a consistent wash. I have been painting over two decades and finally bit the bullet to buy / try this brand. It is worth every penny!

My husband got this set for me for Yule. I have to say, I really like them, they are of great quality, but the metal box that it comes in is probably the best part. The colors are more concentrated than my Yarka St. Petersburg pans (the difference in quality and price) but not more so than my tube colors (m graham). They don't "feel" much different in use but I find myself reaching for them anytime I need to paint. The packaging is amazing and I've ordered two empty ones to put my two Yarka St. Petersburg pan sets into. They feature a good bit of mixing area, in fact, the tray that holds the colors lifts out to reveal more palette space, and underneath the tin is a little ring to slide your finger into to hold the palette in one hand and paint with the other. I'm attaching photos and please forgive the messiness as I was in the middle of a painting and, also, the staining blues stain, that's what they do. It doesn't come with the brush, I just wanted to show that there's ample space for a favorite small brush, if you want to keep it there while you're working on something and I was using it at the time.

Besonders weil Sie die Qualität der Farben von Schmincke sehr schätzt und weil ihr über die edle Verpackung im Holzkasten super gefällt. Lieferung und Verpackung waren sehr gut.

Straordinari acquerelli professionali, il formato in godet interi facilita la raccolta del colore. I panetti sono ben riempiti e brillanti. Ottima la lucentezza.

This was my first Schmincke set. I love the vibrancy of colors and consistency. I bought 6 extra half pans so I could customize the colors. I might remove yellow ochre and black (I may not use them much) from it too but we'll see on how much I use them.
