When you have a truck with an $800 registration (welcome to CA!), your new tag becomes quite valuable! So these are a good deterrent for license plate theft. Not theft proof but definitely not going to be the kind of bit in most thieves' toolboxes.

I don't think these screw covers are going to fool a potential tag thief, but they look good and are easy to install. I prefer the look to the screw heads. It gives a more "finished" look.

So far so good. I’m just disappointed that I didn’t get a second set for the front plate.

I purchase this for two reasons. I wanted stainless steel screws (no rusting) and make stealing my plates harder. It was easy to install. The one problem I did have was that the secure Torx screw wrench that ships with it did not work so well when using the longer end. This was because the hole was not deep enough to allow the wrench to fully engage the Torx points in the head of the screw. I fixed this easily with a drill bit and and drill to make the hole deeper. The short end of the wrench worked perfectly the way it came..

This kit is just so useful. I recently replaced my read tail light fixture with a new one from Ebay, but its Nylon license plate screw holders were worn out. This kit is a lot of value for the money: the nylon fasteners are high quality and fit perfectly and snugly, and it also comes with additional mounting hardware. Recommended!
