An essential item for repairing tubeless tires on the road
BACKGROUND: I ride 10-14,000 miles per year, all on tubeless tires and about 20% on dirt/gravel. I ride Compass (Panaracer) 700c 35mm tires, which are made from natural rubber and cotton and OrangeSealCycling Tubeless Tire Sealant, 32-Ounce . Your experience may be different with other brands. REVIEW: I've been using this Dynaplug Tire Repair Tool Dynaplug MICRO PRO Bicycle Tire Puncture Repair now for about two years (since I went tubeless on my gravel/adventure bike) and I've been extremely happy with it. A single plug seems to seal 1/8"-3/16" holes well -- anything smaller is usually handled by the tubeless sealant . The plugs have never failed me although I once tried to insert two plugs side-by-side into a 1/4" + hole without success. I really didn't expect it to work and I was really just trying to avoid having to pull of the wheel and insert a tube + a boot. Realistically a huge cut in a tire is probably not a good candidate for a plug (and likely unsafe.) The best part about these plugs is that the tire is fine until it wears out -- there is no noticeable reliability hit as the repaired tire hold air as well as it did before the puncture and the plug itself is invisible on a black rubber tire. The kit itself looks like a nightmarish stainless steel horse pill and is highly durable. There are refills too: Dynaplug 1014 Tire Repair Refill Plug - Pack of 5 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Sealed a puncture PERMANANTLY
For tubeless tires, these are a must. This is a bit expensive but well worth it, the ease and quality is far beyond the other cheap 15 dollar tubeless repairs. Spend the money and get something of high quality. The repair fixed my puncture permanently, The sealant sealed it up before but I kept having sputtering of sealant every time I hit a bump. This stopped all that, rode all summer/fall/ and now winter with the same sealed tire and I have had zero issues. my puncture was like a gash to be honest and it sealed it up

A tubeless luxury must buy
If you are running tubeless having a repair kit is a must. Now you could go with a much cheaper bacon strip kit that does the same job more or less or you can use the Dynaplug system which packs everything you need in such a small and neat tool that easily fits in your jersey pocket or saddlebag. The benefits of this kit is you get a knife, air stopper, and the ability to carry four plugs. The replacement plugs aren't cheap but inserting them is a breeze and of the two times I had to use a plug they both sealed my tire without me having to replace the tire.

Best tool in the bag!
I recently completed a 105 mile cycling event. Soon after I started the ride I took a puncture right in the center of the tire (which is a 25mm wide tire). The sealant I use filled the puncture for the most part, but sporadically it would spew out and I would lose a few psi. At about 60 miles I decided to try my Dynaplug Pill. This was the first time I used it and was a little nervous that it would make matters worse. With that, I cleared the puncture, inserted the plug, trimmed it and I was able to complete the remaining 45 miles without ANY leakage. In fact it's still holding. I have to say, I was nervous because the repair seemed too easy. This tool kit is probably the most important one I carry, not to mention it takes up very little space in my seat bag. It is so worth the price. It is awesome quality and function. I have been recommending to all my riding friends! I will never ride without it.

These Little Dudes Work
I went tubeless (Schwalbe Pro One 700X25mm with Stan's Tire Sealant) on my road bikes about 9 months ago. I carried the DynaPlug Micro Pro repair kit instead of a spare tube. That made me a tad uneasy because the rapier kit was new to me and unproven. About 5 days ago I had a puncture that was too large (1/8inch+-) for the Stan's Sealant. Given the nature of the puncture, a slash, my guess was the culprit was glass. One of my concerns with the DynaPlugs was getting the brass tip and wick in the tire with the low tire pressure, that is not having enough resistance to inserter the plug. My guess is that the tire pressure at the time I did the plug was about 20-40 psi. I am pleased to say that the plug went right in with the insertion tool. I trimmed the wick with the handy blade, rotated the tire such that the puncture was at the bottom and then add the air with a CO2 inflator. The puncture spewed some sealant but held pressure at about 80 psi. I then rode 15 miles on the repair. There was some loss of pressure and additional sealant leakage but the plug held. To quantify the integrity of the repair, when I return home, I inflated the tire to 100 PSI and let it sit for 12 hours then checked the tire pressure. It was at 92 psi. After 24 hours it had dropped to about 80 psi. Five days later the pressure is 60 psi. That is good enough for me. The DynaPlugs are expensive but they work for the condition I encountered. Edited August 1 ,2020. More than one year later and still holding pressure. I had a second puncture about two weeks ago and put a second plug in the new hole. Same great result.

So far I have needed it. Nice, small form factor. Which is good, as you need to take with you everywhere.
