Adequate at best
The liner is too short. I used it for a couple weeks and threw it out. I found that you can find better ones for the same cost at the big box stores.

Really keeps the water in
This is an excellent, plastic shower liner. Other shower liners I tried were made of non-waterproof material and would crumple and tear. Come to think of it, maybe those weren't really meant to be shower liners. Anyway, I highly recommend waterproof materials for this purpose and this product does the trick.
