Repetitive, biased, overly wordy
This was the set textbook for my IP module, and for want of any better recommendations I got myself a copy. Comparing it to other books in my law degree I find the writing style very laborious. Lots of very, very long sentences, and many paragraphs that feel like the authors "thinking aloud" that you have to wade through, to get to the actual point. The text zips back and forth in time in such a way that leaves you a bit confused and frustrated as it takes a couple of reads to actually get what the law is now and the order in which it developed. After slogging through a few chapters I pretty much abandoned this for much of the module and relied on a Concentrate revision guide and just reading the journal articles recommended in it, and I passed the module with a 2.1, so I can't have been missing that much.
