Butterfly Weed Flower - Perennial Garden Flower Root

I started this inside in a bowl of water placed by the window. It's been doing great! Worth it! Can't wait to plant this outside!

I received a sprig which I assumed to be the plant I ordered but after planting according to specs nothing has happened. It has been three weeks and no sign if growing. This was an expensive plant and I would like a replacement would not recommend purchasing this plant,

So far 5 stars. The bare roots came in a few days and they were packaged well. The roots were sealed in bags with planting depth instructions. They were not dried out. My only critique is that the instrucions did not explain how to tell what was the top and bottom of the root and whether they shound be planted vertically or horizontally. I just planted them vertically and time will tell with the results. Update: Both plants are growing.

I just received the order in the late afternoon and it seems that it was held in a warehouse since I only see white stems meaning tgere was growth in a dark place. I'm hopeful it will grow some leaves in a few days. The root looks weak but I'll see. I'm very disappointed with this order. I hope I get my $$ refunded or a better plant if this one doesn't survive. I did not receive any instructions with it. The peat moss that it was shipped in was extremely dry so I removed it and will plant it tomorrow morning since some rain is expected.

Was so looking forward to this growing. Too expensive. A little shoot grew then it died. I planted it in a perfect sunny spot and watered it.

We’ll see if it comes back. Gonna need some ladybugs.

As expected

Ordered two different time (TX winter and late April) thought the dog dug up first order, then planting second order noticed a tiny green start! Obviously needed 90*F and soil temperature. Bulbs were tiny but good condition. Second order three bulbs are starting. Plants very robust growth compared to store bought. Flowering 9 June
