The Kingdom of the Gods

I’ve been a huge fan of the Netflix show Kingdom and only recently discovered that it’s based on this book. As a huge comic fan of over <cough> 40 years <cough> I had to grab a copy. Honestly this is one of those rare occasions where the show is better than the book (the other notable exceptions would be Happy! and The Boys). If I didn’t know about the TV series I think I’d have enjoyed the book more but for me, this is a book I probably won’t revisit in the near future and I’d recommend you checking out the TV series instead.

I bought this after seeing the TV show and was expecting something similar. this is one of those rare cases where the book is not nearly as good as the TV show. the story is puddle-shallow, and doesn't even resolve. and half of the book is an unrelated, and even less well told story.The print and binding is very cheap, but then, for the pagecount, thats understandable. Avoid unless you want a shallow trashy quick read

Excelente leitura, as artes do mangá são surpreendentemente bem feitas. Infelizmente ainda não tem tradução para outros idiomas, então pessoas interessadas em ler devem saber inglês, ou estarem dispostas a traduzirem as falas na internet. A história é bem diferente do seriado Kingdom disponível na Netflix. O que deixa bem a desejar é que a leitura é bem rápida, tão rápida que deixa a dúvida se haverá continuação. Procurei na internet pra saber se a história pararia por alí, mas não achei nada a respeito, infelizmente. A segunda metade do mangá conta uma história completamente diferente, com outros personagens e, não esperava por isso mas foi boa surpresa para mim, só não sei se isso agradará a todos os leitores. As páginas são um pouco grossas, não numeradas e de excelente qualidade. A capa é bem menos resistente do que estava esperando, bem mole aliás, e exige um pouco de cuidado no manuseio. A entrega foi rápida e o produto veio em perfeito estado.

La historia es diferente a la presentada en Netflix, Pero es una historia a pesar de ser diferente es muy buena, las ilustraciones son muy buenas.
