Just the best primer out there.
I’ve returned to scale model building since I was a kid in the 70-80’s. Back then everything was enamels or lacquers. Looking to be healthier, I’ve tried many ‘water based’ paints/primers and have landed on Badgers Stynylres being the best I’ve found.I do find adding some reducer & thinner, this lays down so smoothly. I’ll do a 3000 grit light sand and this is ready for glass smooth top coats. I’ve even buffed it with a microfiber cloth to get some sheen, then top it with metallics for flawless finish.I did get a 2oz bottle back in 2016, and have found this does go off if there’s too much air in the bottle. So if you’re only doing a model or two a year, get the smaller one.

It's an Always Buy - For your Airbrush
Stynylrez is pretty commonly maligned in the current day due to some formula drama - I've never had a problem with it. You do need to be cautious with its consistency though - The paint *in the bottle* can separate from its medium so be sure to give it a good shake. Also do not use any altered tops as after shaking you'll be getting the *bubbles* from shaking it as opposed to the actual pigment itself and that will be too thin and wont' cover right. That said, it works perfectly fine being shot out at about 20-25 psi and the coverage is immaculate. On top of that, unlike vallejo, synylrez never rips or peels, making for a very comfortable hobby product.

A staple in my artist toolbox
This is an item that we use frequently for Airbrush. It has a good thickness, adhesion, and consistency. It works very well and has minimal smell. The spray quality and coverage is excellent. A good primer for airbrushing.

Still has some issues, but better than originally tlthought
My major complaints with this primer were due to user error.

Maybe not the best for minis but a good price regardless
When the primer behaves, it's great! Goes through my airbrush perfectly, but despite my best attempts, I cannot get this to give a perfect coat every time. Sometimes the primer pulls on itself, sometimes it doesn't stick. I can't give a full recommendation for miniatures because of this. Besides that it goes on well to simple flat surfaces

Prime Primer
Great for priming right from the bottle. Helps to dilute a bit for easier application

Best Primer on the Planet!
Seriously this stuff is the best. Shoot it with a Badger Patriot 105 with a large needle. Goes on smoothly right out of the bottle. Great for plastics and especially resin models like Forgeworld models.I prefer Black and Gray equally.

Best primer…when its not long expired
Wish i could give negative stars. Even after 10 minutes on a paint shaker, 5 min of vigorous shaking, this is still a gummy, surely expired, tar like mess. Bought from amazon to get it faster but should uave known better, complete garbage
