Q: will I be able to fit 9inch x 5 inch loaves in these?

I had been concerned too but ordered this anyways. They have plenty of room. We have since used them for all sorts of things. I do double up on the bags when freezing loaves. My loaf pans are the 5 inch instead of the 4 inch. They seem to be very long also.

Q: I am embroidering sayings onto toilet paper for gag gifts/decoration. I am told these bags may fit large rolls of toilet paper. Can someone try it?

Sorry I took so long to answer! Hubby put one Costco brand double roll in the bag and it was fine. It was long so we put another roll in. It fits two rolls very comfortably and will leave a nice end even after using the twisty tie. I hope this answers your question.

Q: Has anyone noticed the bread flavor changing due to being stored in the bag? Ex...when you place chips in ziplock bags they don't taste the same.

I have never put chips in a ziplock bag. I have not noticed a change in taste to breads stored in these bags. I make my own breads to store though not store bought. If you buy them and you find a difference there are lots of things you can use them for. We use them at holiday times to wrap art and candies for our grandkids. You might have more sensitive taste than we do however. I did not notice them having an off smell either which can affect taste too. Sorry I can't be of much more help to you.
