I'm giving this 5 stars, even though I had trouble with the first one. It had a problem of recording when there was no movement or animals around. But when I chatted with Cecilia in the tech support chat on the UsoGood website, she was very nice, and she said that this was the first experience they've had with this problem, and they would gladly send me a new one if I would send this one to them. The thing is, I had already submitted a replacement order from Amazon, so I had to return it to them. But the replacement trail cam is awesome! I have tried several trail cams by different manufacturers, and this one has the overall best photo & video quality. As you can see in the enclosed frame capture, this car was going by at about 40mph, and the camera captured a nice, clear picture. I got the camera mainly to catch the bears that keep getting into my trash can when placed out at the curb for pickup. But of course, no bears showed up yet, so I deleted all the night photos and videos of cars going by. I have only had this cam for a few days, and I'm anxious to see how the bears or other night critters show up. When I do see some, I will submit another review. But I am extremely happy with this trail cam, and the very nice person in the support chat. I also love the fact that I can connect to the cam via WiFi from up to about 30 feet away to view live footage or photos and video recordings on the SD card, or adjust any settings in the camera. You can also download the photos or videos to your phone over the WiFi.

Full disclosure, I am not tech savvy by any means and I am certain that there are users of this device who found the camera set-up to be a no brainer. I am not one of those people! The user manual is rather terse and confusing. The Chinese to English translation is not bad but could be better. And FAQ/problem solving is not very helpful. Bottom line, I could not get the camera to recognize my SD Chip and the WIFI connection was only allowed without internet. No pics or video could be stored on the SD Chip. Very disappointed that this device did not work for me. Again, I'm sure it works great for those more savvy that myself.

I bought two of these cameras and the directions were easy to follow and straight forward; however, the instructions do have an error, and I did have difficulty getting hold of customer service. Once I did however, I was directed to a video that showed the SD card being formatted in the CAMERA (settings > Format > yes) but the actual directions say to format SD card in the computer.Before formatting to the camera, the camera of course would not record, and because there was nothing to view or record to, the wifi function also did not work.Once we got all of that remedied by formatting through the camera, the camera is excellent for daytime and good for IR photos and video at night.Customer service was very helpful, once I was able to connect.Edit: if you access the photos and video via wifi from your phone, it’s clear that the images are being stored on a server in China. I’ll post a pic of that screenshot next time I access camera.

It is a great product!I got it since my cat went missing. It helped me out to set This trail cam directly where the tips from good-hearted people led me to. It has a great advantage over regular home security cameras since it can be placed anywhere and very close to the reported sightings.It has superior night vision. It is easy to set up with different sensitivity levels. You can access its blue tooth from a convenient remote control strap with the blue tooth on/off function without necessary to open the camera to set the connection to your cell phone.I would recommend getting two SD Cards to swap them up to review their content on your home computers. This way you are saving your batteries as reviewing them on the cam and downloading from the cam to your cell phone could drain the batteries out. But again, I use it for the missing cat tracking which requires the highest sensitivity settings resulting in many pictures and videos. It goes off even with the slightest movement of tree branches - this is how sensitive it is!When it comes to our cat he is still out there, and by eliminating false leads we are getting closer and closer to him, and that is priceless!

For some reason, the squirrels took offense to this camera and proceeded to chew enough on it that a good rain put an end to it. Overall, it was okay. It seemed slow to react to motion despite being set to highest sensitivity. Often it might get one pic, but not another. Or it might get two pics, but the video would show the tail of the critter leaving. Pic quality at night allowed one to ID a critter, but that's about it. Day pics and video were excellent. It was purchased to determine what was digging in the yard, and it did the job.

Having had two other trail cams in the past, most of the time those cameras were too slow to photograph moving objects within 20-ft of the camera. This camera has additional motion sensors to alert the imaging processor to start recording before the moving object passed through the field of view (PIR 0.05 sec.). I've attached an image taken in the morning and one taken at night to show the image quality (3MP). I'll try 8MP next and add to this review later. The wifi feature works very good. The video image seems compressed vertically. The wrist band on/off switch only works with about 20-ft (6m) of the camera. Most other trail cams can only accept up to 32MB SDs, while this one can accept up to 128MB. Good value for this trail cam.
