I accidentally yanked a SATA cable, which destroyed the plastic surrounding the metal leads on the HDD connector. I attached this adapter to the broken connector for stability and the SATA cable connects firmly to it. Crisis averted!

I like these sort of things that are helpful in some cases when building a PC in a older case and you don't want cables sticking out of place!

I've used two of these. One was to save a drive with broken connector and the other one to fit a DVD drive in a Micro ATX case. They are good quality. No problems at all. They angle down.
