Super For Kids & Parents Alike!
As a "How Good To Train Your Dragon" afficianado, my 6 yr old granddaughter loves this"sword"! She dresses up in her pink hero cape, pink rubber boots, and a pair of blue elbow length ladies gloves, and wields this awesome weapon. For parents--although it takes batteries to light up and make sounds, the noise is subdued, so you don't need to worry about losing your marbles.

Lights Up For "Train Your Dragon 2" Fun
This little play sword was the very thing my grandson wanted the most for his birthday and was what he wanted to play with right away, It was the perfect companion for Dreamworks How to Train Your Dragon 2 Action Figures, It lights up, extends and retracts. It allows little imaginations to go to work. It is a very simple design, with edges that are rounded for safety.

a 6 pound 150$ lightsaber seemed like a bit much for a 6 year old so ...
I picked this up for my much, much younger little brother who is 6 and who would run around with a couch pillow which he called his "knight shield" slashing an invisible sword around when we play. He was also quite taken with my Master Replica Force FX Lightsaber however, a 6 pound 150$ lightsaber seemed like a bit much for a 6 year old so this was the solution. I'm not going to lie, I really wanted to play with it too. He loved it and toted it around with him for the duration of my visit. For the week I was visiting it held up to a lot of play and did not run out of batteries. He even ran around with it in a heavy downpour and it worked fine after. I wouldn't go throwing it in a pool, though. Batteries are included and it seems pretty sturdy

Cool sword for a great Halloween costume
This toy was an incredible value. Unfortunately, it has since met the doom most plastic swords meet after a month of abuse :( I loved the movie. My son loved his halloween costume (and the awesome glowing sword). This is a really cool toy for the price.

Great product.
We had a How To Train Your Dragon birthday and the swords were a huge success. They're plastic throughout and with parent-monitoring, the kids had a great time as dragon slayers. Sound effects are fantastic.

Broke in 5 Minutes
Pretty cheaply made product. Lights worked for about 5 minutes changed batteries and still not working/ Very disappointing.

My son has had his for a week playing with it almost non stop and his batteries are fine. Overall- worse thing about it is keepi
Simple design-my son loves it. Not sure why one person reported battery problems. My son has had his for a week playing with it almost non stop and his batteries are fine. Overall- worse thing about it is keeping the kids from accidentally knocking each other with it while play fighting.
