I got a couple of these jugs to use for making tea. I specifically wanted plastic jugs that could hold a gallon of liquid and be compact enough to fit into the door-shelf of my refrigerator, alongside a gallon of milk. This jug succeeds in that expectation. A couple of minor annoyances are that it drips a lot when pouring, and it's a little bit hard to clean. It's hard to get anything up inside to really wash it well, and it doesn't fit well into my dishwasher. I have to run the dishes without the silverware basket in order to find a way to fit it into the tray (think dishwasher posts sticking up-- it's hard to find a way to set it in upright [upside down] over the posts). None of these things are terrible flaws, the dishwasher thing in particular is simply a function of its shape, and is to be expected if you think about it. The drippy spout... they could have done that better, but it'll only cost them one star :-) I think it was a good purchase-- indeed, I bought two of them, and I would buy them again if I had the need.

Nice pitcher! Wish it was the smaller old one but for some reason things need to be bigger these days!
