My eldest son asked for a headset for the Xbox. After trying loads of different ones we realised that we needed an adapter between the controller and the headset. Enter the Mcbazel adapter, this was loads cheaper than a licensed item and with next day delivery worth the risk. It arrived next day as ordered and was a simple plug and play… instant happiness from a very excited 8yr old. The only thing is my son now believes he has to shout and deafen the rest of the household as he plays🙄 All in all I wish I had found this item months ago to solve the communication problem. Great item and would buy again (hope I don’t need to) As a bonus all the other headsets we tried work with this adapter so they will come in useful.

Other than this little thing telling you what mode it’s in and playing a little jingle when you turn it on it’s a handy thing and those sound modes do make a difference wow do they

First of all I'm going to start by stating that I wouldn't even give this product a single star, it's not hard to fit into the Xbox Series X|S controllers, it's an easy fit, however.. Once plugged in all I could hear was static and the sound of my own voice, now I like hearing my voice through headsets because it prevents me from shouting as I know how loud I'm speaking.. BUT this adapter distorts your voice so if you're using a high quality gaming headset like myself (Logitech G Pro X) which has a really good microphone built in, this adapter will lower the quality drastically and to add insult to injury it'll also add static to your voice and even when nothing's going on all you can hear is static. Adjusting the headset with the volume buttons doesn't work because despite the fact that you're lowering the volume of your headset until you can't hear the static.. you then can't hear the game you're playing, your voice or anyone's voice in your game/party chat so really you're just muting your headset entirely, why on earth would you want to do that? Some reviews I've seen on adapters is ridiculous, but I'll tell you the truth. It is handy if you are wanting to play with headphones on as the volume control level is separate from the TV volume. There are some equaliser settings but nothing that I've found is drastically different on each setting. The main use I would say is for online games, Inparticular for communication with other players

No problem at the moment

It works well enough but every time you press a button a Asian ladies voices repeats back to you what you just did: volume muted, sneaky mode, music mode. If your on a live or game chat they can also hear it. Very annoying and gives away your position on certain games.

Love how it lights up.

does the basic job it serves but the audio does sound very odd compared to the previous adapter i owned. the ai voice that blasts out every time i press one of the buttons on the adapter is really annoying and inconvenient, as it mutes everything i need to hear temporarily so a female ai can murmur in some distorted language. the volume control is basic with no option to control party chat audio and gameplay audio. the turtle beach headset adapter is more than ten times better than this in terms of ease of use and audio quality.

I was worried when i got the product and it was in characters i did not understand as an English reader. However, it had visual instructions that were easy to understand just plug it into the controller and it works. The only other thing i will say is that the adapter talks i find it cute and charming but, i can see how for other people it may be annoying or a bit scary without knowing it voices each time you hit a button. There maybe a way to disable it but, i do enjoy it so i can keep that part on regardless
