Being a diabetic isn’t. easy. Life is full of choices. Should I have that sugary snack or should I be a good diabetic and make more health conscious snack choice. If only it were truly that easy on the daily. I have been using these IV3000 clear bandage tapes for years. The freebies that come with my continuous glucose monitor (CGM) look good, usually peel off, but if they don’t, at removal time, it’s like pulling duct tape off your sensitive skin. I literally had what looked and felt like sunburn from the company’s tape. These IV3000 are reasonably priced, super comfortable, easy to apply and best of all, they keep whatever you’re trying to keep covered and attached, covered and attached better than any other tape I’ve used and I’ve used so many different ones. Yet, I keep coming back to the IV3000 after wasting my money, time and skin cells on the others. I won’t use anything but!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE!!! For me, they are a no brainer of a choice. The sugary snack… much more difficult.

I have a port and from the start struggle with itch and rashes. IV3000 is the best! Even the “hypoallergenic” dressings at the hospital caused a rash and skin break down for me. Not to mention the discomfort when removing them. Not only does IV3000 not cause a rash, but it comes of much more gently!! It came highly recommended amongst support groups and I am so glad I invested. I kind of wish it was the go to at the hospital since it comes off gentle and even the average Joe can benefit from that. Remember to review the steps before applying the dressing. And when pealing the top layer off, make sure to press down the corner of the clear dressing your peeling from because that keeps it from lifting while you peel the last layer. The corners lift and don’t stay down well after if you aren’t careful to separate the dressing from the top layer. If you’re careful with this step and especially if you apply skin prep before applying the dressing, it sticks very well. It also helps to pat it down well applying pressure for warmth to make sure the top layer pulls away from the dressing. I stay accessed 4-5 days a week and it last well and if very comfortable. After you remove the dressing I recommend wiping away residue with baby oil. I use these smaller ones for accidentally lifted corners, to case the spot where the catheter leaves the dressing, and underneath my grip lock and tubie tape (to prevent rash). I use the 4 inch size for the main dressing. You might be able to do this size for a hickman though.

Great product for an over patch on my Dexcom sensor. The stickiness is great but yet easy to remove. I highly recommend this product.

Saved us thousands of dollars when my partner cut his thumb on a table saw. It was a clean cut and he tended to it very quickly with appropriate sterilization practices. We found out that doctors will use this on finger amputations. Work like a absolute charm thank you so much for having this available to us!

I use these as overpatches for my Dexcom G7 sensor as I find the ones Dexcom sends to be useless. I cut a hole in the center using a "dead" sensor as a template and apply it over the newly inserted sensor. I appreciate the fact that they are clear and adhere well but I do use Skin Tac under this overpatch to ensure that it will stay stuck for ten days. Wish Dexcom would include overpatches as good as these with their sensors.
