Soap Making Cutting Mold Kit

Nice little set, silicone liner is easily removed from soap loaf. Cutting jig is a neat little tool, I had to raise the planing blade on the bottom and can use it to bevel nicely and plane/shave the sides of the soap too. The cut sections on the jig are 1) the adjustable portion, 2) 1 1/16” and 3) 1 1/8”. I’m going to have my husband make me one with equal measurements because I like to slap a loaf down and cut all the bars the same size. But this does allow you to cut one at a time at the size you choose or one of their pre-sets. Brush for brushing away crumbs is nice. The spatula is neat, all one piece so the end doesn’t fall off like the ones I got at the dollar store lol! The one “con” is that if you make a loaf of soap with embeds on top, pipe designs, or scoop it up to make waves on top (anything that goes above the top of the mold) you get a tall loaf of soap that’s hard to fit in the cutting jig. If you wanted to lay it sideways to cut, it’s too big to fit. If you set it up straight, it’s too tall and you have to “aim” for the cutting groves with your cutter. Found that is easier said than done and got a lot of slanted bars. If you are planning to go into the soap making business, I’d say to invest in a better cutting jig. But for the hobbyists out there like me who like to make soap for my family & gifts for friends, this is a nice little set!

I've been learning to make soap with a group of my neighbors. These molds work great, and I love the cutter box and tool. It's nice to have the little extras as well. I'll get a lot of use of of the molds. Very durable and well made. They clean up nicely and are reasonably priced.

A great kit for the new soap maker. It has everything you need. Just bring your fav essential oils, mica colorants, oatmeal and or flowers to make sweet lil soaps.

Ok, truthfully, I didn't want the scraper on the cutting jig, but I found that to be the best feature ever created. It takes a little finagalling to make the adjustment even on the jig but it's very helpful. The mold itself, I think is too narrow. For a typical soap recipe, the mixture fits perfectly, but the mold is too narrow and tall so the cut bars of soap are square instead of rectangle. This makes the soap awkward to use when a rectangular bar fits better in the hands. So, to fix this, I have measured a typical bar of soap, and marked on the outside of the silicone the width I like and that is now my fill line. I then pour the rest of the soap into single bar molds. I already had them on hand, anyway. The cutters are awesome and easy to use with a good defined cut line. The stiff paintbrush was a genius idea to remove the soap shavings from the scraper and you never can have too many silicone spatulas. I am not disappointed. I only wish the mold was a little differently shaped.

I was first impressed by the packaging- it arrived looking like a gift. The soap cutter has markings for different sizes but you can adjust it to anything. The 2 slicers are nice for variety and easy to use/clean. You have to be precise when lining things up. I had a few uneven bars but got the hang of it. Happy with this product.

What a great starter kit, and it came so prettily presented, too. I used the whole kit in my first soap making, and everything worked perfectly. The insert for the soap holds 42 ounces of soap batter, and the soap cutter works beautifully. My soap is a little higher than the wooden cutting frame, so I eyed the slot with the soap knife before pressing it down to cut. This box makes 12 bars of soap at approximately 2 cm thick.

I wish I had known about the cutting mold kit decades ago. What a time saver. I sent it to my granddaughter so she could make soap for the first time. I highly recommend this product.

Needed this badly. I can finally cut my soaps the way it should be done. Very easy to maneuver. Happy I got it.

Lovely little set, both blades are large, sturdy and cut well. Made a batch of soap using the soap mold, worked out well, demolded well. Pleased with this set although I think the price could be cheaper.
