I love my foodcycler, I use it almost everyday, me and my family go through a ton of fruit and veggies and I hated to waste the 'waste'. I own a small florist shop (lilliewild.com) so I need all the fertilizer I can get and this device makes it so easy. The filters say they last about 3 months but mine lasted longer, they are super easy to replace and makes a huge difference in oder. They are worth the money and the fertilizer the machine produces is incredible and rewarding.

I have always replaced my food cycler filters with these and it works great! Super happy with it.Recently I thought I would try a cheaper brand and it was a disaster! The whole apartment smelled awful for days! Lesson LearnedI resumed using this brand of filter and my food cycler immediately was odor free and running smoothly.

These filters rarely have to be changed! I absolutely love the food cycler! So grateful for such a useful appliance!

My experience with the Vitamix FoodCycler® FC-50 Replacement Filters has been somewhat of a love-hate relationship. These filters do an excellent job in their intended function, which is to mitigate odors from the FoodCycler unit. However, there are some aspects of these filters that leave room for improvement.Firstly, let's talk about their effectiveness. These filters genuinely work well in reducing and neutralizing the unpleasant odors that can be associated with composting food waste. They help maintain a more pleasant environment in the kitchen, which is a significant plus.However, the downside is their disposability. While the filters themselves function effectively, they are not designed to be reusable or refillable. I attempted to open one of these filters to replace the activated charcoal pellets inside, but it proved unsuccessful. This means that, over time, you'll accumulate used filters that need to be discarded, which feels contrary to the eco-friendly goals of a product like the FoodCycler.Ideally, there could be a more sustainable approach to these filters, such as providing refillable options or a way to replace the charcoal pellets without disposing of the entire filter. This would align better with the waste reduction goals of the FoodCycler system.

Perfect good and easy to replace.

It actually made a difference replacing these filters with the odors produced during a cycle. First time I replaced the filters since purchasing the unit a couple of years ago. Simple process, remove the back panel, remove the filter covers, rotate left the existing filters out, rotate right the new filters in, press the little reset button, replace the filter covers and back panel. It should be noted the product picture shows the filters upside down.

The charcoal filters work wonders and do what they should. I don't think the price is too bad for how long they last. The product is great and we are able to compost so much for our yard and garden.

I cycle this vitamix composter twice a week since purchased. This is the first I needed replacing. The replacements came promptly and there is a video on the website about how to replace. Very easy. Just hold the reset button long enough!!
